This movie proves that having a horrible ending can undermine the whole rest of the film that precedes it. I was actually enjoying this movie until 15 or so minutes before the ending. The "twist," which has been done in about 10 movies I have seen before, is obviously unoriginal, lazy, and takes away from the rest of the movie because it makes it so many things do not make sense or add up completely. I'm tired of movies just tricking the audience in order to shock them at the end, and failing miserably at it. Like I said, most of the movie is quite well shot, tense, and scary, and Elizabeth Olsen is great in it, but everything turns out to be nothing more than a gimmick in the end.
