Awesome movie! Best movie ive ever seen. I was enthralled from begining to end. Awesome soundtrack. Go out and watch it, even if you have already seen it.

If you like Sean Connery, this is a must see movie. Nicolas Cage is great, I didn't think this guy was an actor until I saw this movie. A rock solid action thrill ride.

First of all, I'm a Chinese movie fan. When this film played in Shanghai in 1996, our school organized us to watch it! After watchint it, I only just say, "What a GREATE film! " Now, 8 years later, I bought a VCD and a DVD of this film, I have seen it for many, many times. I found that Ed Harris' acting is so great, and he's so handsome and sexy! In this film, he's between millions of citizens and the benefits of his guys. In a word, he acts GREAT! On that time in China, at least in Shanghai, it shaked us deeply, becase we had never seen such a greate film before! By the way, actor Gregory Sporleder acts great as well. His performance is in deep inside my brain. Last, Gen. Hummel, "I miss you so much! ".

I'm Polish, and The Rock is absolutely my favourite movie, within 1 and half month I've watched it 4 times (1 in TV, 3 times on DVD) Great plot, acting, and knocking music composed by Hans Zimmer. I love that movie, it's music and I love Ed Harris, he's great and sexy, and he's the best actor. General Hummel still alive. Agentka.

The Rock is GREAT!! I got it for my dad for Christmas and watched it 3 times within 2 days. The music is GREAT also. Sean Connery is by far my favorite, but the whole movie was awesome. Everyone should see this movie.

One of the greatest fictional war movies of all time. Along with Aliens, Terminator, Tombstone, and The Abyss, Micheal Biehn's superior acting job of Commander Anderson shows the true nature of the Navy SEAL's and what they fight for. Seeing them portrayed professionally and correctly makes The Rock an outstanding movie, with superior acting jobs. Another outstanding film to add to Jerry Bruckheimers list.

The Rock is one of the best action movies - it is simply a classic. Director Michael Bay has an amazing sense of action which makes them look REAL. The characters in the movie are perhaps what makes this movie so great. The characters are all convincing in their roles; the marines LOOK like marines, the scientists (Nicholas Cage) LOOKS like a scientist, Sean Connery LOOKS like a former SAS operative, etc. , etc. All of these combined with Hans Zimmer's heart-pounding musical score helps make this movie deliver a heart-pounding experience.

I´m german, the Rock is My ABSOLUTLY FAVORITE MOVIE, because all is so professional and clear, like the violence. But there were dramatic till epic elements. All in all there is no bether movie ever the actors are great, Nicolas Cage in his role as wokaholic FBI chemicist with his catholic girlfriend Carla, and specialy Sir Sean Connery as the older S. A. S. -Agent who were "jailed" for his whole life, a GREAT film!!!!!!!

Not too sophisticated, however it became my favourite one mostly because of Sean Connery. I'd definitely recomend it to anyone who likes both suspence and good sense of humour, especially in dialogues.

This movie was freakin' awesome! Even though some of the things the actor's said were just stupid.. ("You're going down! ") this movie had a solid plot and some great acting. See it now!

This is one of the worst films I have had the misfortune of seeing. From the preposterous plot, wooden acting and hackneyed dialogue the film runs like a series of excuses to show big budget stunts we've all seen before. The way the film is so ridiculouly patriotic really annoyed me also.
