Exquisitely crafted movie and well directed actors that do not disappoint. There is one thing that bothered me and I know it is subjective but I left this movie feeling there was nothing positive throughout including the ending. Is there someone in the movie that is happy sometimes? Generally, humans strive to find happiness and they find themselves on a bumpy road which sometimes leads them to a dead end but they will stubbornly and indefinitely give it another shot and on that bumpy road they will find moments of elation. The humans here (all of them) are extremely self destructive with not one iota of goodness within them and that's where the movie loses some points with me. It's totally unrealistic and turns a blind eye on basic human psychology. There is no doubt that it takes supreme talent to come out with a movie like this (perhaps a dose of neurosis as well) but I find it terribly depressing. Believe me I've seen many movies with anti climax endings but at least there were some genuinely good people in it (Dancer in the Dark anyone?) which gave me a sliver of hope for human kind in an otherwise dark movie but this one left me with no positive feelings at all. It's darker than a black hole.
