I wanted so deeply to give this movie a 10 out of 10 but unfortunately I could not. The ending left the audience with the impression that they missed something or there should be more to the story. Overall it was fantastic. The story was a little hard to follow but it is difficult to pack so much information into 2 hours. The special effects, acting, setting and story were amazing. The whole part with the bears took the breath out of me, that part of the story was mezmerising. Note to parents out there, this is not a children's movie. It does not contain any sexual content or extreme violence but it is to difficult for children to follow. Specifically those who have not read the books. Note to readers of the golden compass, it jumbles the story a bit and the ending was completely eliminated. As a fellow reader, I personally loved the movie until the ending. Others may disagree but do not let the opinions of others influence your own. Overall, I loved it!
