It was fascinating to see this historical perspective of John Lennon's influence on American politics during the late 60s and 70s - and the political influence on him. This is framed through the eyes of a wide range of people who were active in the unfolding of the events of the time, both directly with John (e.g., Yoko) and indirectly (e.g. an FBI agent and former Nixon staff) It was also very interesting to see some of those people as they are today and to hear their observations from today's perspective. This is certainly a trip down memory lane for those who remember those days. (Great music! Alas, only in snippets. ) But it's also a broad tapestry that brings together many elements of the time and the man into one big picture. For anyone who came into the world after Lennon left it, this film will be a valuable history lesson that is far from dull. (Ya, a history lesson with a great soundtrack! ) All about the politics, music and unprecedented social movement of the time. (And it might help you understand your parents or grandparents better... ;-) Well worth seeing!
