Hello... enjoyed your review but not sure why you are a big fan of Spielberg for many years and then complain that this particular movie was an obvious effort to manipulate audiences... this is all Spielberg does in his movies is manipulate the hell out of his audiences... he knows every heartstring in the book and milks every scene for what it is worth... this is why he is so successful but also why his movies are inevitably bad films... just watch Saving Private Ryan which is so ridiculous it boggles the mind yet Spielberg knew his audience would just love it... I mean what are the chances that the german that Tom Hanks released in the middle of nowhere would actually return to kill Tom Hanks... the answer is NONE! YET Spielberg convinces us that it could have happened... he is the king of smaltz and superficial scenario just to get a reaction... it is his strength... this movie is no different than any of his others I am afraid... so you either sit back and enjoy the ride not questioning the many improbable scenarios or don't go see the film... Spielberg movies are not really good films... they are simply very entertaining films because he knows what his audiences want to see... Mike.
