This movie is excellent! But if you don't like war movies don't go. Don't go only because you like Nick and his acting abilities if you aren't going to like the gore and that it is war. Although Cage has pulled off another great hard character, as has Adam Beach an Ojibwa in a roll of a Navajo. AND definitely a must see IN the theatre. The breathless opening scenes of Navajo country were enough to prove that to me. And then, to be in the middle of the battle scenes. Wished my theatre had better sound. I did find some errors. Fake explosins, smaller guns giving bigger explosings than the big guns, and when called, Cage turning his death ear to hear better. But hey, at least it was based on fact and had research done. Nothing like Pearl Harbour trying to lead us to beleive the US airforce lead the Japanese plans to crash into each other. This movie is 10 times better than that.
