A great mix of romance with epic violence. The romance itself is tender and sweet, little else in the way of the movie was. Very well developed story, with fantastic villains, and intrigue over how things could possibly end, rarely appearing to be a possible happy ending. Patricia Arquette is gorgeous and dynamic opposite Christian Slater who's got a knack for the dark, yet charming. Two other examples of such would be Heathers and Pump Up the Volume. Great small parts, slightly bigger than cameos, for Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper. The scene with the two of them, I would argue, is one of the best movie scenes of all times. Worth a rental just to watch that scene alone. But the whole ride is just exhilarating!
