It needed more help although it was richly done in short wasted effort.
I enjoyed it, but I like this genre of film and find there isn't enough of them out there. I don't think it's fair to compare this movie to Gladiator. It obviously doesn't have the same budget, but that doesn't mean it can't be consider a good film that's worth seeing.

Even if I saw this movie on DVD, it looks like I'm the 1st one to review it. That's not a good sign. Centurion reminds me of Gladiator, but with a lower budget, for writters, actors, and special effects. Regarding special effects, you'll immediately notice that 95% of the blood you see on the screen is very vivid, and seems like CGI made by 1st year computer students.
