A not bad movie and soundtrack. Zac Efron didn't seem to be as good as he could be. There may have been some chemistry missing between the main characters, but the story wasn't bad at all.

It was a good movie but I was a little disappointed. I expected a little more, especially after seeing the previews. Overall it was an enjoyable movie But making the father die was a bit harsh. I mean yeah he was the problem to their relationship but making him die? Too extreme.

For one, I love this movie because it has ZAC EFRON in it! He's an amazing actor, and just amazing in this movie! A perfect love story that anybody would enjoy. A must-see, go watch it NOW to see the hunky Zac Efron! (3.

Not a bad romance movie. This story is about - lets say you know the saying "Everything happens for a reason". It's weird yet very strange how fate happens. Makes one man weep and another man sing so the song goes.
| 7/10 | shazjoao@ - 1728 reviews 13.7.2012 |
It is a great love story and Zac Efron was spectacular!
| 10/10 | katie710@ - 2 reviews 4.7.2012 - age: 18-25 |
Although Zac Efron is now showcasing himself in a role that has taken him from teen to a man... his acting was not outstanding. The scenery is nice. His character inspires a young boy to reach for his goals and dreams and that was one of the best parts of the movie. Could have waited to borrow it from the library at no cost.
| 6/10 | keeponsmiling@ - 13 reviews 29.6.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Zac Efron may be good looking but he can-not act. Blythe Danner saved the show. The story was good but I expected a better movie. I guess it's hard to top Ryan Gosling and The Notebook.
| 6/10 | idonda@ - 35 reviews 20.6.2012 - age: 50+ |
It was great. Nice to have a slightly more realistic romance movie for a change without all the forced obstacles put in the main characters' paths.

Because it is a great movie!! It has such a good story. Even romance included.

Zac Efron is so sexy, who wouldn't want to watch him!! It is a keeper in my mind.

I was excited to see this movie, but left disappointed. The premise sounded good, but poor course of action.
| 4/10 | top.market@ - first review 26.5.2012 - age: 26-35 |
I loved this movie largely because Zac Efron was in it, and also because I love Nicholas Sparks novels. Other than these two facts, the movie itself was good.
| 7/10 | zannaphaeton30@ - 7 reviews 25.5.2012 - age: 26-35 |
Too predictable! I knew it wasn't going to be great, but I hoped it wasn't awful... it was.
| 1/10 | mrflumble@ - first review 22.5.2012 - age: 50+ |
If you're looking for a good laugh then the Lucky One is the movie for you! The script is terrible, the acting even more so. It gave me a great laugh though, although others in the theatre didn't seem too pleased with me!
| 4/10 | you.are.my.song@ - 3 reviews 22.5.2012 - age: 13-17 |
It was entertaining. Nothing gripping though. Nicholas Sparks has had better books that were made into movies. This one is okay.
| 6/10 | gacar017@ - 62 reviews 22.5.2012 - age: 26-35 |
It's not an adaptation of an Austin novel. It's meant to be romantic without being sappy with a touch of realism and relatability... they tried. It just seems to be missing the right kind of magic glue.

An awesome movie, I am 11 and I cried and laughed.

I felt it was done very well and the cast was a great pick. I would suggest if you're looking for a great love story to see this movie.

This was an awesome movie! I love Zac Efron!!!

Ok. Lots of clichés, but it's nice to see people fall in love, even if it is just a movie. First time I ever saw Zak. Looked a bit too innocent for the role, but...
| 7/10 | fhebert17@ - 4 reviews 16.5.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Very good movie, not a lot of course language. Very enjoyable.
| 9/10 | wrightmcook@ - first review 16.5.2012 - age: 50+ |
6.5 but there's no option for that, so 7 it is, but it's really 6.5. Good movie but there's some small changes to make this movie on the list of great chick flicks but it went a different direction and felt a little bit lazy and took a short cut but besides that it was a pretty decently good movie.
| 7/10 | no.life1allscared@ - 86 reviews 15.5.2012 - age: 18-25 |
Horrible movie, the actors were so terrible that I honestly just got annoyed. The only reason I am not giving this movie a 1 is because Zac Efron is just to attractive to deserve a 1 :)
| 2/10 | candice-blake@ - first review 13.5.2012 - age: 13-17 |
It is one of my most favorite movies ever. It might be a chick flick but it's by far one of the best.
| 9/10 | niall143@ - first review 13.5.2012 - age: 1-12 |
I'm glad I enjoyed my popcorn, because this movie sucked. The only actor that Zac Efron is better than is Keanu Reaves. The last time I acted was about 32 years ago when I played Joseph in our church play, and quite honestly, I would be able to generate more believable emotion than poor Zac. This movie was full of overacting, underacting, and the most predictable plot lines EVER. My wife and I had things figured out well in advance of them happening throughout the movie. Don't waste your money.
| 2/10 | annoyed@ - first review 13.5.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Terrible movie, would avoid seeing it. Why would some movie producer waste their money on that movie.
| 2/10 | lanielou00@ - 2 reviews 12.5.2012 - age: 13-17 |
My friend wanted to see this, so I went, but would not recommend it! Terrible acting, really really bad acting. The story was ok, and Zac Efron was nice to look at which is the only reason I'm giving it a 5!
| 5/10 | charrywilton@ - 44 reviews 12.5.2012 - age: 36-49 |
This movie is fantasic and I really enjoyed watching it with friend of mine. Mkp.
| 7/10 | kristeen@ - 2 reviews 10.5.2012 - age: 26-35 |
The best way to describe this movie is... BORING!!!
| 3/10 | mathieu44@ - 10 reviews 5.5.2012 - age: 36-49 |
I'm not a big fan of Zac Efron because of many reasons but this movie was an exception. It wasn't my all time favorite (It is one of them so far) but it was definitively worth seeing.
| 9/10 | mrptwi13@ - 11 reviews 4.5.2012 - age: 13-17 |
I loved this movie, it was a great story from beginning to end.

It's so good I would love to go see it again.
| 9/10 | sweettweetie_11@ - first review 3.5.2012 - age: 13-17 |
It is a good movie, nothing unexpected. More of a girls night movie.
| 7/10 | mariette.robichaud@ - 286 reviews 3.5.2012 - age: 50+ |
Yes, I agree with Steve, the movie is just not a thriller. But, given I'm in Birmingham, AL at the moment and it is 96 degrees outside with a heat index of 107, it served it's purpose. It was cool inside and it was rush hour. Poor ole Zack has shown us he has talent and has had his moments in several of his movies but this was not one of them.
| 6/10 | elmontsparks@ - 105 reviews 2.5.2012 - age: 50+ |
Way better than what I thought it was going to be. Zac Efron did a great job, fell in love with him within the first 5 minutes. Great movie!!!
| 8/10 | llme09@ - 41 reviews 2.5.2012 - age: 26-35 |
Kind of boring, slow moving story. Not much chemistry between the two leads.
| 5/10 | coocoosnest78@ - 40 reviews 2.5.2012 - age: 26-35 |
This movie was great! A bit different from the book but still got the story across. You picture Logan much differently in the book, but Zac is still beautiful to look at during the movie!
| 8/10 | lindsm123@ - 35 reviews 2.5.2012 - age: 26-35 |
Just a great heartfelt nice movie. Good ole Zac the perfect guy. What it lacked in action it gained in spades in characters. Loved the perfect scenery on nearly every shot and the slow building deep relationships. Life sucks a bit more than this, but don't miss it.
| 10/10 | jonesfam1@ - 5 reviews 1.5.2012 - age: 50+ |
Great story! Only thing that could have improved was Zac's acting in the first half of the movie.
| 9/10 | sgrisim@ - 6 reviews 1.5.2012 - age: 18-25 |
I really enjoyed this movie. Not usually a chick flick enthusiast but I laughed and cried in this one. I think Zac did a great job. Just a good heartfelt movie.
| 8/10 | icehockey44@ - 6 reviews 30.4.2012 - age: 36-49 |
The movie was good in general, but something was missing. The chemistry between the two main characters. It was not The Notebook or Last Song. I was a little disappointed. Nany was great, she spiced it up!
