Being an animation student, I really admired the work put into this film. Honestly, it shows. The color schemes were fantastic and the song I thought were a great touch, especially for kids. Although I will agree that the book is always better, adaptations to film are ALWAYS going to be slightly different, if not more. I've seen worse adaptations than The Lorax. I truly admired the decision of the team making the Once-Ler "human" because it allowed the viewers to recognize themselves or that people can be and are the cause of many environmentalist issues. One thing that was upsetting was the numerous product promotions found in the film, making it almost like a giant commercial. All-in-all, if you imagined it to be NOT based off of a book, I say it was a fantastic film to watch.

I took my son, 8 years old, to this movie. He did not like it much because the story was very fantasy and could not relate to it.

My name is [...] and I want to tell you all how good this film is. Take it from me, at age [...]! It may seem childish, but in truth, this movie is much deeper and mature than it seems!

It was funny! The Lorax was so cute! I liked the cute bears and then the guy gave them marshmallows!

I absolutely loved this movie. For those who have seen the original short film, it is a bit different than that, but still holds the same heart and amazing message. I am glad to see a classic become relevant to today's issues. Great for adults and children alike. I think children will understand quite a bit of the environmental awareness aspect while still being entertained. Two thumbs up.

I liked this movie. It was good, but not great. I could've done without all the singing. The original soundtrack in The Muppets is much better. Good message, cute and funny parts, social commentaries, like the bottled air joke. Worth seeing but read the book first.

This movie dose have alot of value in it for the world, that people should stop and think more of just what they do in a daily routine, how it is killing our world more then ever... love, peace, believe, respect.

Loved this Movie!! Probably the best 3D children's movie I have seen yet!! The bright colours and the reach out and almost grab the image features absolutely thrilled my 3 year old niece. The message behind the movie is something that we all need to stop and think about in this busy ever-changing money-driven world we now live in. Although admission was very pricey for my self and a 3 year old that spent most of her time standing beside her seat dancing or sitting on my lap it was worth every penny!

I love this book and remember buying it the week it came out when I was a young boy. Product placements, glorification of excess, lame humour - Seuss is rolling over in his grave. Even my kids didn't like it. It could have been great!!!

An excellent movie both for young ones and adults. Very good story; remarkable lessons to learn. It teaches people to take care of our world before it's too late. Loved the characters. A must see.

It's probably not fair for me to rate this movie as a [...] year old because all I can say is that it was super lame. I took my great nieces and at 4 and 6 they watched it and giggled on a couple of occasions but I think the message was lost on them. I made the mistake of thinking there may be some, even a little humour that I would get, but that was wasted on the trailers. Personally I think even the little ones could wait for the dvd.

A great movie for younger audiences. If you have kids, please do your kids a favor and bring them to the movie. It was funny, clever and actually had a moral for the people in the 21st century.

I love this movie! The little teddy bear was sooo cute :) The images are sooo beautiful. I love grandma. I feel the Lorax's family was being really mean to you. The land where the bears, the trees, fishes and the others are soo beautiful. I found it really sweet that Ted went through all the trouble to make Audrey happy. The short guy wasn't nice. I don't like him. I love the ending :)

Took my children ages 7, 10 and 12. We really enjoyed this Seuss flick. Lots of laughs even though if you dare evaluate it's message to humans it is very serious. Selfishness and materialsim in our society has blinded humankind to what we are doing to nature. It needs to be nurtured and respected.

This movie is alright but could be much better because although it was kind of funny, it was a little boring and it wasn't very quite when I went to go see the movie, so it could have been more quite.

I went to this movie for my 11th birthday! I was not sure it would be good because it seemed really kiddish, but my friends voted on it so we went to see it. It surprised me because it was actually not really kiddish at all, it was really funny. I hardly laugh at any movies and I laughed out loud (: I know how people are saying it was pointless and all, but seriously it's a kids movie for probably ages 4-12, but I did see some teenagers there too. I'm a kid and I'm saying I loved it! 8 outa 10 see it when you can because movie theater 3D is the best!!!

Well, it taught a great lesson, yet I was disappointed that the movie wasn't as funny as the trailer said it would be. But as I said, it is a good lesson to teach.

My five year old and I, being big fans of the book, were very excited to see it. He enjoyed it for the most part but lost interest towards the end. I was even less of a fan. Save your money. Read the book.

Went to see the movie with my 6 year old son. Just to mention, he is mostly interested in computer games that have some kinds of shooting involved, military books, star wars and any types of monsters. Lorax had non of it, had no questionable humor either. Nevertheless my son really liked it. He sat through the whole movie on the edge of the chair, simetimes repeating the dancing moves. Such a breath of fresh air. I loved the movie too and would recommend to anyone with children or without.

I LOVED the Lorax! I went to see it with 2 of my BFF's, my mom, her friend, my older sister (age 15) and her 14 year old friend who happened to be related to my moms friend and 1 of my BFF's. Anyway the point is this movie is AMAZING because we had people from age 10 to 45 and we all loved its story and musical numbers!!! IT IS A MUST SEE!!!

Definitely not for everyone, it could have been so much better. I think only kids might like it. Was Dr. Seuss always this anti-industry? I mean WALL-E had similar messaging but was executed MUCH better and wasn't designed to turn children off of corporations. The love story in Lorax is like an afterthought and doesn't provide momentum at all. Also, I had to fight off falling asleep (losing at times) during most of the middle of the movie. The pacing is just way too slow and the 3D adds nothing. I'll need to re-read the book to my little girl and see if this is really what Seuss envisioned. I think the Cat in the Hat children's TV show is closer to the mark than this. Now that I think about it, I wonder if WALL-E as an idea was taken from this book. It's so similar. Young kids might like it but the previews for Madagascar 3 were better than this movie I think.
