Not really funny, and full of awkward moments (I don't like those) this movie is not really recommended. The idea behind the story was good, but somehow something went wrong or something essential is missing.

Mike judge delivers again, though not as good as office space, this film will still as the abilty to develop a following over time with its basiuc formula that is easily relatible and takes you to the next level that maybe you can't do on your own.

So hilarious, go and see it. Not really any dull moments, make me laugh pretty hard and I usually get bored at movies.

I am so very glad a person only runs into these kinds of stinkers once in a while. Shallow plot, I felt like I was watching a teenager's first attempt at making a movie. I'm so surprised Jason Bateman let himself be talked into being a part of this trash. A relly big disappointment. A movie that went nowhere FAST.

Meh! I've see much worse... but from the Director of Office Space - I was hoping for better.

I went to see this flick with out any real expectation. I have to say my friend and I both enjoyed it. Had some good laughs, not the greatest storyline but decent.

I'm a big fan of Jason Bateman from his role on the brilliant TV show, Arrested Development, so I really wanted to like this movie. Unfortunately I couldn't bring myself to find anything enjoyable about it. The casting didn't work, particularily Ben Affleck, the jokes didn't work, and the overall Directing failed miserably. There were so many scenes that had such great potential for laughs, but just completely fell flat. I kept waiting for these scenes to deliver the punch line, but it never came. A big disappointment all around. I walked out after 45 minutes, and I was the third person to have done so...

Good show a little slow sometimes but Bateman is a funny kid.

Terrible writing. Uninteresting, undeveloped characters. No conclusion. Don't waste your time.

Good movie... see it. Better than I expected, not hilarious all the way through but quite funny.

A solid comedy that has you giggling all the way through rather than rolling in the aisles every now and then. It's a light movie with a keen eye for human nature. Jason Bateman, Ben Affleck, Kristen Wiig and the guy who played the gigolo all shine in their roles. Another worthy notch on Mike Judge's belt.

As funny as this movie tries to be, it lacks the sense of fulfillment that is so much the mark of effective comedy. While some problems are "resolved" at the end, no sense of completeness attends any of those rounding out events. The absence of any goal of "final resolution" allows the writers a creative license that ultimately does them damage -- it frees them from focusing on the role of every skit in the overall ambitions of the production. As a result, the films amounts to a collection of quite funny moments that add up to nothing in particular. One leaves the theater with a generalized emptiness as a result.

If you go in expecting a very funny movie, you won't get one, but you will get an ok movie that's somewhat funny with a cheating wife and a bartender with bad advice.

Enjoyed this movie a lot last night - Jason Bateman does a wonderful job and Ben Affleck is at his best. Not your typical predictable story. Go see it!

Good performances. It's more of a movie that makes you chuckle consistently but there are some really good buildups to the laugh out loud moments. If you liked Office Space, you'll like this. It's a more low key cerebral comedy. It's different from Apatow comedies or the Hangover.

A so-so comedy that is not the best work of Mike Judge. There are some funny scenes -especially the pot-smoking scene and the scene with Dean, his best friend for fans of Mike Judge!!

Simple story but funny. Ben Affleck is great in playing a barman who gives bad advice to his friend Joel. I used to see Ben playing nice guy, clean and wearing suits but he is very funny in Extract.
