I enjoyed this movie, had some good action, and kept you thinking... Love Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds... worth watching.

Some great scenes, some great writing. Some cheesy scenes, some cheesy writing. The lead actors do a very good job though.

I enjoyed this Bourne-like formula movie, which featured excellent acting and a plethora of chase scenes and gunfire where everyone dies but the hero. Like many others, though, I was distracted by the shakey camera. Not as good as the Bourne series, but well worth seeing.

Some good action. But plot is adding a Safe House to the many movies like 16 Blocks.

I went in with no hope at all. I loved it! The simple creative editing and the cinematography by Oliver Wood are amazing. It is also a well construct scenario.

Horrible knock-off of a Bourne movie. I saw this for 5$ and felt ripped off. There was no plot, no dialogue, no character. This wasn't even as good as a mindless Steven Segal movie. Save your money, buy the Bourne trilogy.

The final of the movie is really good... The movie brings us to think that sometimes we have to know a little bit more the people before to judge them...

Denzel is great and Ryan was believable. This movie is a whole lot of testostorone. I was however kept intrigued throughout and enjoyed the movie overall.

Too much action, story was lacking, would not pay for this movie, if tickets were free, sure.

Thoroughly entertaining movie. Well worth going to see. I like Denzel Washington and he didn't disappoint me in this movie. Well acted although the plot is a bit far-fetched. Go see it you'll enjoy it.

I'd say this is one of the best films of 2012. The story is a bit simplistic and somewhat unoriginal (we've seen so many CIA spy movies in recent history), but what really makes this film exceptional is Denzel's performance and Ryan Reynolds in the supporting role. Exceptional acting on both their parts. Denzel is one of the few remaining actors who can execute a role with surpassing authenticity.

This was a good movie worth seeing, worthy of a 8/10. The only thing I did not like about it was that some parts were suspense building, but felt incomplete or did not have enough action to meet the suspense. Otherwise, had some very good and real action scenes, in one of the accidents, it seemed as if they actually crashed a car with real people in it, and the car chases also seemed real! Denzel was pretty cool as well, and the other main character made the movie at the end, you watch it you will know what I mean.

Wow! This was a quadruple hit on the bad-things-about-movies list. Namely: No story, poor editing, feeble acting, repetitive chase scenes. The first twenty-thirty minutes of this movie were completely unnecessary. In fact the movie should have started when the two lead actors first met, and not before. This flick reminded me of the movie “the International” for the same bad reasons. The director supposes that if he is murky enough with a story, then the audience will be intrigued or interested. As always, of course, the bad guys with their state-of- the-art guns can blow out every window of a car or residence without leaving a scratch on the good guys. At one point the good guy is driving a CANARY YELLOW truck backwards, in a narrow roadway but is absolutely invisible to the bad guys (who look strangely “not unlike” Al-Qaeda terrorists) The acting is tired; the action is riddled with hand-held cameras ad-nausea. There are far too many holes in this movie’s plot or lack thereof. And for an action movie that was 120 minutes long there may have been 20 minutes of action. And finally at the end of the movie when things are explained to the audience (In standard action-movie style), you can’t understand a word the leads are saying!! You would have needed closed-captioning to figure out the whole point of the movie. There should be a warning to audiences for this kind of drivel. Like the rides at the Ex: you need to be this “stupid” to enter the show. (And have and IQ gauge pointing to zero...) I was going to walk out but I was too numb. If you plan on attending this movie, bring Javex for your eyes to ease the pain.

This is a good movie, a little confusing at times but worth seeing. Don't listen to the reviews saying the camera was too shakey or there was to much killing... The description says extreme violence so obviously there is gunna be extreme violence. Good movie, see it.

There is no question that Denzel Washington in pseudo sociopath mode is very entertaining. Very few actors can shift so comfortably from a pearly white smile to a ferocious gaze as he can and his antics, playing a best of the best rogue assassin, makes most of Safe House worth sitting through. The action scenes are also well choreographed in the jumpy "realistic" style that has become commonplace since Jason Bourne arrived on-screen. However, almost everything else in the film from the plot, to the dialogue, to Ryan Reynold's performance, are so unbelievably routine that the film ends up being nothing more than the average run of the mill actioneer, diverting but completely unremarkable. What Washington could have done with a better wing-man and some more intelligent material!

I hated it, it is all about how they blew up a safe house because of the landlord, then kill kill kill everyone is dead, but not the main character, like if you were going to make a good movie, make it that there are at leat some people who live like ya.

A dramatic tale of unfortunate events within the new security apocalypse of a national evil determined to dissolve all tyranny. Ryan Reynolds cannot compete with Denzel Washington for the very fact they are two generations apart. Today's cast is an assemble of models who act and actors who live their character. Regardless the cast involved, a script needs to have elements of suspense and character development in order to bring forward the climax. This film fails to prevail, simply telling the tale of a CIA atrocity.

If you like constant gun fights and scenes where you can't make out what's happening then this one is for you. Don't forget to bring your barf bag... the constant camera movement was over the top. They should have a viewers warning on these types of films: may cause motion sickness. On the plus side, Denzil and Reynolds' acting was decent.

The storyline of a rogue agent is getting overused. The main supposed plot surprise did not, in fact, surprise me that much. I am getting more than a little tired of action being shot in a way where you don't see half of what is supposedly going on and the camera is being constantly jerked around. The director of this picture also loved extreme close ups a little too much. So, guess that means I hated this picture? Actually I didn't. I liked both Washington's and Reynolds performance and I found the storyline, despite whatever clichés it had, was effective and enjoyable.
