Rather boring, and dragged for the most part. Movie length could definitely have been shorter. I didn't see anything in the movie that would have made it Oscar material. Save your money on this one.

Fast paced & exciting. Great editing and acting. Should have won for both best picture and best actress!

I don't believe Jessica Chastain's performance was all the media cracked it up to be. She was not credible in my opinion.

In an age when we preach democracy to foreign nations, our part of the world continues to operate in a non democratic manner... This movie was disgusting, killing only begets more killing, never in history has it begotten peace, just further conflict and killing. They killed innocent people in this movies story while persuing their mission... Not to mention that this story is hardly accurate in its facts. I would not recommend this disgusting film, that glorifies such evil. Waste of time. I can't believe it was nominated for Oscars... The acting was not spectacular by any means, nothing profound.

Too bloody long for sure. Expected more from all that hype but was disappointed!

My main complaint with this movie is its length. It easily could have been twenty minutes shorter. While compelling for the first hour or so, it sags in the middle before getting exciting in the last half hour. Great performances by Jessica Chastain, Kyle Chandler, Jennifer Ehle, and especially Jason Clarke as a three-dimensional CIA interrogator. The interrogation/torture scenes are the best part of this movie. Some may find them disturbing, some may not, but it's good that they were portrayed pretty objectively and not with a bleeding heart liberal slant. I found them delicious and satisfying. The movie... pretty good and a little satisfying. It's no Argo.

Engaging and thought-provoking. The central character is a woman. The director is a woman. The perspective and psychological basis of the film reflect the determination and serious focus required for women to achieve at this level of excellence.

About as historically accurate as die hard. Nothing but flashy propaganda aimed at people too lazy to find any real information on the subject. Want a good movie about America's war on terror, watch Zeitgeist. If you're there for anything more then cookie cutter "terrorists" screaming in foreign languages while 'Murica serves them a hard serving of democracy, you'll probably leave the theatre like I did. This movie is a joke.

It's a compelling movie with a very precise and indepth story line. It's recommended to see if you're into this type of movie. Not a lot of action in the beginning though.

Lacked character development although one can imagine that for a CIA film based on "true events" that they would have to omit some things. No idea why this was even nominated for best film. Good film if you enjoy propaganda films that try to justify torture for an imperial colonial war.

Too long. The style is faux documentary which doesn't work for me, but there is an important story here. Way, way to soon to know what is dramatization and what is real, except for the final result.

I come from an acting family (theatre, stage & TV) I think the acting in this movie was excellent, the story (true) was well told and all inclusive - not for "tender" souls or "bleeding" hearts. This is the real life, folks, in a very dangerous world! Jessica Chastain's acting was superb and the story well directed. I was never bored - and I am easily! I may go see it again!!

Wave your American flags! Detach electrodes to the temples -- it was painful propaganda. The acting was sub-par. Gratuitous cursing and rhetorical dialogue. Happy to see Gandolfini though.

Very suspenseful, taught storytelling. Head and shoulder above Act of Valour. I didn't think Jessica Chastain's performance was Oscar worthy, but what ever, It's way better than Act of Valour. And very much like Act of Valour, this movie is very much a propaganda piece of communication.

It is rare to be able to experience historically important events in your viscera. Zero provides that for those who are not so clouded by political prejudices they are impermeable to surprise perspectives. The movie provides authentic heros in a time when "heros" are propaganda for ideologies or franchised cartoon characters. For the generation brought up on "Mash", it is not acceptable to show an America winning in a war because of "American Character". This flimic corrective teaches younger souls that The Brave still come forward today to save us from murderous cultures. Both the acting and directing would win Academy Awards in a Hollywood that did not prostitute, drug, and take ridiculous postures.

I thought Bin Laden would never be captured/killed. Great story on how they worked together to locate the world's most wanted man. Some scenes are gory but nevertheless, it was expected I like the military scenes (you see in the trailer) as it reminds of Call of Duty and other war games. Although Bin Laden is dead, it doesn't mean the war isn't.

It portraits the detachment of normality of everyday life and the brutality of collecting the information from the CIA agents and the reality of the killing Osama. People just hope that there was higher purpose in the killing of some of the women in the house. Not to judge it shows very detailed the whole event.

I liked it. I thought it was really well done. Coming from the same person who brought us the great Hurt Locker, I expected nothing less. I didn't think it was quite as good as that one but of course the style is completely different. I like Kathryn Bigelow's way of making movies. The pace is slow, there is a lot of attention to detail, the characters have depth and she doesn't feel the need to resort to vulgar language, gratuitous sex or extreme graphic violence with every scene which is too often the case with other directors. That being said, I'd like to see her move away from war/military themed movies for her next project.

For me this was a very good American movie in that it laid things on the table as they were for us to examine. In a sense recreating the events with the knowledge that is available without sentimentality or bias. When I was watching, it reminded me of a comments made by the director of the Italian movie Salvatore Giuliano. By recreating as close as possible the events leading up to "the" event new insights are uncovered. Anyway enough of the meaningful blather, good flick blah blah blah.

I was disappointed! Except for the great acting of Jessica Chastain this film does not have anything else going for it, except again perhaps for the episode of capturing Ben-laden (but even that part was much less than expected) The film was too long, too slow, sometimes boring, sometimes confusing. Given a theme so fascinating (like that of capturing the most wanted man on earth), the film could have been made much, much better than that, with a more skilful director and screenwriter. I think it is way overrated.

This was an interesting movie, and it was nice to see that a woman took part in a very dangerous move to find Osama Bin Laden and carry it through. In the beginning, I found the scenes jumped very fast and it was hard to keep up on what was going on for a while. But in all I think the Director did a great job and I kept interested till the end of the movie. I wonder why nothing was shown on where the body ended up?

An excellent view of all the pain, misery, and patience required to complete a sustained op against, well, anyone who threatens your existence. Outstanding acting and cinematography. Certainly a long film, but well thought out and complete, whether or not it was completely accurate, or even a moral tale, is irrelevant. The only significant action was near the end, and it was understated. Well done.

This is a very good movie by Kathryn Bigelow, I would even say better than Hurt Locker. Excellent acting from Jessica Chastain. It was very difficult to know the difference between truth and fiction. The last part of the movie (commando operation) was very intense and enthralling.

I'm going to start off by saying that the actors were all good in this one. This movie in general was good but a little too long. They could have put it to 2 hours instead of 2:35. Some parts were too long but loved how they showed how they got Bin Laden in the movie and the ending got me on the edge of my seat. 7.5 :)

If you are going to dramatize real events how about some drama? How about portraying some characters who we can identify with or care about? Since we will never really know what happened and the reality is probably much starker than the attempt at docudrama presented here why bother? A miscast mess of a script in desperate need of social context!
