They rely too much on the cuteness. It does get old after 5 minutes.

This was a good animation movie, funny at times. Although this movie was worth seeing, Shrek is still better!

In the manner of Shrek, this is as much fun for adults to watch as it is for children. The humour is multilayered for all ages. The pace is quick and there are twists in the story such as the writer's portrayal of Jack and Jill. Although Billy Bob Thornton has a smaller role, you can tell he really is enjoying it. Antonio and Salma put a nice genuine Spanish accent to the story and are as sexy as they are funny. Truly "Baa-aad Kittys"

Puss in boots was good but it was a bit cheesey. Shrek was a better movie, Puss in boots should not have his own movie.

This was a cute and entertaining movie. Pretty funny and great animation! Not as good as the Shrek movies though (in my opinion) but worth seeing if you like light-hearted animated movies.

The Puss in Boots is the story of a cat wearing boots, who starts a quest for finding the goose with golden eggs. It's a movie of Dreamworks studio, with the voice of Antonio Banderas and Selma Hayek. This movie has a predictable strange boring story. But, the text was better than the story. It has a lot of funny jokes who make that we aren't paying attention to the story. The Puss in Boots has great computer animation making that the texture seems real. The music was great, she always fitted with the moment. This was a funny movie. In conclusion, I recommend this movie to all the children [who] want to see a movie. I think this is the greatest movie, in cinema, for this moment.

Recently, I saw a movie named «Puss in Boots». It’s a family adventure movie with many jokes for parents. Puss in Boots is a really cute redish-brown cat with two boots, one red cloak and a beautiful large edge hat. He and his companions would [like] to possess the hen’s gold eggs. In this adventure, the three friends become close rand go away between us, but can they survive to this adventure? You have to see the movie. The animation is really good. I think that is better than when it’s real characters, because it allows to create more fantastic effects. I really like the animation for this movie, it’s appropriate. But, even if the animation is excellent, the script is not famous. It is predictable and we’ve seen it all before. The idea to put in the movie several famous older american characters, like «Humpty Dumpty» is really interesting. I like it, because it’s a blend of famous stories. For this funny movie, personally I give 7/10. I recommend it for family with young children who wants to laugh, see a touching movie and loves cats.

The story of the movie is: the history of a cat with boots. And with his friends (Humpty Dumpty and Kitty soft paws) they go steal the golden eggs in the geant bean (of the story "Jack and the bean".) It's a movie of Chris Miller with Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek. I like the drawing (the movie is a cartoon.) It's pretty, but not better than Tintin, but good. I think the drawing is worse than another time. It's like if the drawing has "highlights", because last time we can see the texture of the objects and the next time the drawing is just good or okay. I love the sound effect, he has a lot of music and it's helpful to understand or just be funny. All the time he has music and I think it's fantastic. I like the voices, the dubbing is good and the accent or just the voice are perfect for the character. And the characters, I think the cat is perfect, but Humpty Dumpty... it's funny [to] have a character who "exist", but sometime it's too much, with to the thing with the golden eggs (because he exist to...) So it's a good movie for all the family with jokes for kids and more. I recommend for all the persons who like children's movies and cartoons. And it's funny because the movie doesn't take children for a baby.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
This movie is a cartoon movie, the story is about the childhood of a cat. His brother is the best of the world. His brother betrays him and the beautiful small cat is again alone. In each scene, the music was excellent. She has a good bond with the situations. In every action scene, the music was faster than the others scenes. The voices of the actors fit with the characters. For the public in the theatre, the voice and her character was like one real person. The drawing of landscape and of background was really beautiful. It was like in reality but in cartoon. This movie was better than SHREK, an other cartoon movie. It was a very good movie in every aspects. The cute little orange cat was a really good principal character. I recommend it for everybody. It's a general movie so, everybody can see PUSS IN BOOTS. There is many types in this movie; romantic, action, fantastic... A lot of persons will like this movie.

I think this movie was not the most beautiful movie of the year. That short children movie does't have a very good story. On top of that, noncharacters were unique than others, they were "cliché". But, the music was funny and pertinent. It supports the character of "Puss". And the graphics of the movie were most beautiful than other movies. It was the best quality of picture and every draft of character was different than others. This was very easy to know which characters were who. Every character was smaller than an other or bigger than another. To conclude, I think it was the best movie of America FOR CHILDREN. I recommend it for young persons. It's a very good familly movie.

This splendid curious world is created for Chris Miller, the same réalisateur for Shrek 3. The cuty principal character, the voice is the fabulous Antonio Banderas is played. Banderas is played, for the voice the Kitty Softpaws, the voice is Salma Hayek. The story is, two cats and one egg search to have the magic bean. The type of movie is adventure. I like this movie, but I think is very more funny like Shrek. I like the mixed funky story. The genial character is very excellent, but is the cliché, the seductive hero Puss in boots, the agile Kitty Softpaws and the clever Humpty Dumpty. The plan is very often is the big zoom for look the cutie sad eyes, the Puss. The interesting special décor is don’t like I think, but is successful. This genial movie is for everybody, because the beautiful colour drawing and the simple funny story is the mixed, fairy tale for children and adult.

Puss in Boots is so funny and Puss is so cute in some scenes. I love the way he talks, it really suits his character. And Kitty Soft Paw is so cute, I think Puss likes her. I think the movie is so unique because it is so weird and funny, a cat wearing boots. That would be so funny to see my cats wearing boots.

Now the reason I didn't give a higher vote for this film is because some people may not like all the cats themes or the fairy tales. Personally, I think with all in all, I would actually peg it higher than a 8 but I round it down to 8 just for the overall impact. Firstly, I am biased favourably towards the Latin culture. I love their language, music and vibes so I immediately look at any Latin movie optimistically. I loved the cat interaction, the excellent tie in of fairy tale characters and the humour was well to make adults chuckle but go over children's heads (who would be more taken in by the more basic themes. It definitely took me back to my childhood days. I would definitely see this film again.

My husband and I laughed out loud over and over! This is a cartoon for adults as well as kids. The adult humour was just too funny! But wouldn't be anything that you wouldn't want your kids to see either. And whoever wrote it really knows cats and cat behaviour. We loved it.

His oozing-charisma-and-he-knows-it is so hilarious! I like how the creators took some of the classic tales and its known characters like the golden goose egg, Jack and Jill, and Humpy Dumpy and twisted it to make new ones. And the dance battle, to die for! LOL! Absolutely fun to watch for kids and adults. It's like the adorable and funnier version of Zorro actually! Enjoy!

Warning: This movie may contain cuteness! The plot is sort of like what two guys might have come up with after they smoked a lot of weed! Way out there! I think the 3D version would be better, because the story line is thin. Still it's very cute and does have some funny parts. You may want to wait for the DVD unless you want the 3D experience.
