I thought it was a great movie because it had Sarah Michelle Gellar and Linda Cardenelli in the movie which I thought the two of them made a good pair.

Well I can only say that my daughter thinks its fantastic, she is only two but she knows how to operate the tv and dvd player, and she puts it on every night to go to sleep with, she laughs her head of at the bit in the castle where shaggy and scooby have the wind competion, although I have had to by several copies of it as she only little and has scrathed two, but it has been well worth it as she just love scooby doo.

This was a great movie for the whole family to watch. My kids (5 & 2) loved it and my husband and I both enjoyed laughing with them.
| 8/10 | lucas@ - first review 6.5.2003 - age: 26-35 |
Oh my god, this was such an awful movie! It was just plain stupid, the cartoons are definitely better! And even though stars like Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Freddie Prinze jr. Were it in, it didn't make the movie any better. I would recommend that if you enjoy the cartoons, don't watch the movie because it is terrible!!!
| 3/10 | angel31412@ - 24 reviews 13.4.2003 - age: 13-17 |

This was for sure a great kids movie, and even interesting enough for an adult to watch. My kids loved it so much that I have gone out to buy the movie and they watch it often at home.

Society has changed, to say the least. Years ago movies like this wouldn't even be produced. Parents and fans a like would tear down the theaters and hang the propiators. (Figurtivley speaking that is.) [...] And so we are cursed with Scooby Doo. A light hearted cartoon about 3 friends, three dogs (Doo, Dum and Scrappy) and the various spooky mysteries they partake in. All through the 70's and 80's children thrilled at their many tales. And while the quality often shifted, the series always had a happy following of children and sadly adults. Why sadly adults? Because the show was never at any time meant for them. But as the 90's came to a close we witness the birth of a new breed of Adult. The dreaded fan boy. These creatures go about the net mauling and raping our childhood memories and spreading lies and rumors. These 'gimps' were kept quite for decades by society, but now these spinless weasels are free to shoot their mouths off at will, without fear of repremand. While it can be said that other TV to movie cartoons and shows suffered from bad plots, characters acting and saying things out of context, etc, one would be hard pressed to prove that the people who, say worked on the Flintstones did not indeed love and care for the characters they threw on to the big screen. The oposite could be said for the writers of Scooby doo. For these writers are the very trash of which I speak. Scooby Doo is a dissgrace to the series. Every character acts how gimps would like to see them act. Not once in the series do I recall the characters fighting amoungst each other. Never to I recall young Scrappy showing anything, but respect for his Uncle and the rest of the Mystery gang. Never did I see Shaggy partake in 'substance abuse', nor give any indication he would do so. The film was so insulting to my childhood memories that I found myself walking out before it ended. The shame of it all is, few is the cry against this film and many is the ignorant applause of it. Like the Romans of yesterday, society has seeped back to the slime it once was. Applauding the sick dismemberment of characters in a dark arena. We have entered a dark age in movies.

SCOOBY DOO is SUCH a great movie! It is not babyish at ALL! I think that people of all ages would enjoy it!!!!!!
| 10/10 | soccergirl1891@ - 6 reviews 16.12.2002 - age: 1-12 |
SCOOBY DOO is a good movie I thought-there was nothing wrong with it-except they should of got someone else to play Daphne instead of that ulgy Sarah Michelle Geller-she was too stuck up and mean! Since I love Scooby Doo-I own over 70 Scooby Doo merchandise-even own a huge plush my sister won from the fair-I even won two other Scooby Doo plsuhies that day! I bought the vhs-and thought that the extras were great-especially the start of the movie that they were gonna use (they should of used it!) and Velma singing was cool-why did they cut it out from the movie? I heard somewhere that they might be making a 2nd Doo movie!

I liked the Movie a lot, and I thought for the first time ever for any Scooby Doo related episode or movie that it was unpredictable, who could have ever guessed the ending, and also the special effects were amazing.
| 8/10 | mmigahed@ - first review 15.11.2002 - age: 13-17 |
The movie itself is pretty good, but the characters just don't seem right, You can really tell that the're at least five years older than in the cartoon, and these 25-year-olds seem to act like real babies... While Scooby is one of the best special effects I've ever seen...
| 6/10 | kirillfessenko@ - 35 reviews 7.11.2002 - age: 1-12 |
Yes I saw the movie. But I thought that it was more for younger children rather than teens or adults.

I really liked the movie it was awesome exept the part where Daff kissed Fred. I really think that Fred and Velma should of kissed they both made a cute couple since in the entire movie it seemed like they were flirting with each other. I think that the part where Velma sings to Fred I asumed it was pretty awesome. I dont know why they deleted that part it was pretty cool.

It is OK, a reasonably nice and refreshing movie if you do not want to think too much and have an hour and a half of cheap and uncompromising entertainment. I recommend you to watch it in company of kids since their candid ejoyment of the film seems to enhance its original quality.

I rove Scooby Doo and this rovie was in no ray risappointing if you are a rrue ran. My ron roved it and that rakes it even retter in my eyes. It's rute, it's rheesy, it's rilly - it's entertainment, not rrain rurgery. Try to see a rhildren's rovie as you rould as a rhild.

I loved this movie! Scooby Doo is the funniest thing sinced sliced bread and I find sliced bread absolutely hilarious! I mean the way you put it in the toaster and then watch it toast. Wow! You then have the option of toppings such as peanut butter, jam, or goat cheese. You can even put stuff between two slices of bread and make sandwiches! It doesn't get any better then that! See this movie. Man, I'm hungry...

I was quite surprised by this movie. Im an old Scooby Doo cartoon fan from way back and I liked how the characters made fun of themselves. It had some very cute and funny moments and I liked the casting even when I thought I wouldn't! Scooby himself was great too. Most enjoyable.
