It was a pretty good movie. My friend told me something that was in the movie that made me want to see it more. As soon as I saw it, I found out he was just messing with the most famous quote about the new BB gun "You'll shoot your eye out!", because he told me Ralphie did shoot his eye out.

A Christmas classic. As close to a masterpiece as you can get within this genre.

This movie has everything... the tongue stuck on the post (I remember being told that when I was a kid).. The lights of the tree blowing fuses and the many extension cords added to one outlet... and that smell with the poof the fuse blows. The soap in the mouth... yep I'm old enough to remember that... I had it done once and then NEVER again, it was gross... think it was Zest for me. Haha. You'll shoot your eye out kid... haha although I never wanted a BB gun... I've heard those words in my early years! The only thing I don't have recollections is with the Bumbpus dogs... haha!! All in all a very funny movie and worth seeing. It's one of our yearly watches at Christmas time.

A true holiday classic! Fills you with feelings of nostalgia as it accurately captures the Christmas feelings of our youth. Lots of laughs as well as it visits all the stereotypical moments of family and friendship. Love this movie!

A great story - reminds me of what it was like to be a kid. Put it on your list for Christmas viewing.

Definitely a classic! The characters are hilarious and the story is so funny. I watch it at least 3 times around the holidays!

There is something about this movie I really enjoy. It has been one that I've watched for years every christmas. It is a typical family, and the awful x-mas gift from family thinking your 5yrs old, and wanting something your mom doesn't want you to have cause you'll hurt yourself but then you promise you won't cause your not little anymore. Then you break your glasses!! Not one to run and tell mom, if you had glasses when you were little you'll understand.

Some really quirky humour here. I liked it, but not enough to recommend it to you.

I have watched this movie since I was a child. Every year I have to watch it and it warms my heart. It takes you back to the good ole days when you were young.
