It was awesome. Not very original, but still great. I love Kevin James! He is so funny!

Finally a movie that fits Kevin James perfectly! It was funny about almost all the film and it fits Kevin James perfectly!

Here Comes the Boom is the typical underdog movie. I thought the ending would be more original, but it's just like any other movie of that type. Kevin James is a good standup comic, but there were barely jokes for him to deliver.

My wife and in joyed this movie. It's a feel good movie with a predictable ending.
| 7/10 | f1957rag@ - 2 reviews 8.2.2013 - age: 50+ |
Enjoyable movie with lots of laughs here and there. Nice to see Henry Winkler again. A fun one to see.

I really enjoyed this movie. I thought it would be a mediocre comedy to watch on a Friday night but I found myself watching it more than once. Not only was it funny but it was a good drama, well scripted and well written. I might have slightly changed the cast.
| 9/10 | lgrumor@ - 6 reviews 24.1.2013 - age: 13-17 |
Well beyond what we expected! Thought it would be fluff but really enjoyed the story.
| 9/10 | sgrisim@ - 6 reviews 23.1.2013 - age: 50+ |
Just an all around feel good funny movie, dumb humor but good.
| 7/10 | brad.lorne@ - 3 reviews 21.1.2013 - age: 26-35 |
I loved this movie. It was really funny at most parts and inspirational in some. I recommend that you go watch it. It really gets you pumped and into it. Really liked this movie!!

Kevin James of King of Queens fame is mediocre in this very bad script that he co-wrote and produced with Adam Sandler. Oh, my! This film sucks big time!
| 2/10 | pj.wassar.md@ - 7 reviews 6.1.2013 - age: 50+ |
Sorry, this is so predictable, cliched, and just fluff--no humor in it at all.
| 3/10 | mcgillmedstudent@ - 22 reviews 6.1.2013 - age: 18-25 |
Give me a break! The story is lame [...] Salma is hot and that's the only reason I rate it 5. It is a pity rating and nothing more.
| 5/10 | joeljustleft@ - 269 reviews 5.1.2013 - age: 26-35 |
This is a like a King of Queens reunion but not quite half as slick or funny. The story is average and nothing great and certainly could have been sooo much better.
| 6/10 | jilljustleft@ - 308 reviews 5.1.2013 - age: 18-25 |
A nice surprise, good story and some touching moments in spite of the fighting!

Great movie for all ages. Had my 2 kids, 2 teenagers and my hubby and I all laughing. Good laughs throughout.

Went into this movie with no expectations, walked away pleasantly surprised. Very funny and entertaining.
| 7/10 | clouded.revolution@ - 21 reviews 23.12.2012 - age: 18-25 |
Great movie even if it's a typical American comedy full of clichés and very predictable. It has food for thought. Probably the best Kevin James movie. You can't go wrong with his leading lacy either. She's as hot as ever. Good laughs and ending (improbable as it may seem) that leaves you with a good feeling.
| 8/10 | klodio00@ - 159 reviews 20.12.2012 - age: 50+ |
I appreciate the movie. It had some good jokes, but it is a typical American movie, where all is exaggerated and you know in the first minutes how the strory will end. If I didn't give it a good score, it's because this comedy is "du déja vu" and the director, Frank Coraci, disappointed me because he did better movies in the past like "Click" and "Around the world in 80 days". The story talks about a 42-years-old biology teacher (Kevin James) who wants to save the music program of his school. But for saving it, he has to pay the program who is more than 40 000$, so he starts boxing for make money. What I found nice in this movie, is the fact they took real boxing fighters like Wonderlai Silver, Chael Sonnen, Brian Stann and Rich Franklin for the fights. I'm thinking that if you want to see this movie, you should wait he comes out on DVD, I'm advising you!

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
A college teacher named Scott Voss (playing by Kevin James) is spending his nights during martial arts battle to save the music program in Wilkinson High School. A passionate teacher, who teaches biology has completely lost interest for his job. During a teacher's meeting, he learned that many extracurricular activities will be cut (especially the music department, directed by Scott's friend: Marty (Henry Winkler) who will become a father soon) because of school's finacing problems. He first decided to collect money in teaching American citizenship to newcomers. One of his student. Nico (Bas Rutten) has a passion for martial arts battle. So, he decided to participate and go to the UFC. Personally, I really like comedy movies, so I want to thank the director: Frank Coraci and the writer: Allan Loep & Kevin James for making me laugh at the beginning until the end of the movie. That's why, I'm giving 4 stars on 5 to the movie. It's a relatively pleasant story through the main character is progressing. He has recovered a passion for his job and becomes a hero. I think that is a great opportunity to watch the movie with friends, but pay attention, it's not recommended for young children. !!! WARNING, IT MIGHT CONTAIN A LOTS OF LAUGH!!!

I like this movie because it contains a lot of jokes and I think it's a movie who can permit to have a reflection on how, when we are very determined, we can have what we would like to have. So when you are watching this comedy, it is sure that you are feeling good. But, when I went to the theater to watch this movie, I was surprised by the fact that, from the beginning, we know what is going to happen. Finally, I know the story is not very original, but the message is clear : never forget your dreams!

Frankly, I am shocked. It was cheap night so I thought I wouldn't get stung too badly if the movie sucked... and it didn't. It was actually quite good... lots of laughs early on and a not too surprising heartwarming ending. Still, the mush wasn't too heavy handed and there was humour right to the end. I read a review comparing this movie with 'School of Rock'. It's a fair comparison but I thought this one was better. The entire theatre was laughing throughout... which is a good sign for a comedy. It's worth seeing.

Much better than I had expected. The guy playing Scott Voss, the main character, carries the whole movie. Hilarious.

This movie was great because it was a fighting movie which I liked, plus it had humor and was very different from other fighting movies.

I don't normally write reviews but this movie is amazing. Big surprise. Inspirational like Rocky, very funny, elements of romantic comedy, very uplifting, great values, and good action especially for MMA fans. Makes you cry and laugh at the same time. I cant believe I said that :-/
| 10/10 | tomk@ - 8 reviews 14.11.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Quite funny but full of emotion at the same time, and the action was not bad either.

Loved this movie, perfect for both guys and gals together. Many moments of laughter, aggression and yes even a few quick catch that tear before it rolls down the cheek moments. Kevin James you are awesome!!

I laugh at others reviews, especially those who want to sound like a movie critic... well we all know what we think of movie critics, I am not one but I will say for this movie it did what it was supposed to do -- make you laugh, make you cheer for the underdog, and to enjoy it from start to finish. My kids and myself were very thrilled for how well this movie was!!! To all the critics -- don't try to be someone that usually everyone hates!!!

Funny, clean, no swearing, no sex and a wonderful portrayal of how teachers can make a positive difference in the lives of students.

It was okay... entertaining, but not the type of movie you would watch twice. Probably one of the better of Kevin James movies. Not sure what others saw in it to rank it higher.

I was originally reluctant to see this movie because, like a lot of movies, the funniest parts are in the commercials. I was wrong. It was thoroughly entertaining. Laughed the entire way through. Great cast. Definitely worth seeing.

This was a great film... one of those comedies suited both for young and old. It was also nice to see Henry Winkler in front of the camera again, he was hillarious. It was a fantastic story with an incredible cast... a must see!
