I haven'seen 8-l/2, so maybe my comment means nothing. My expectations were too high and I was disappointed. In My opinion, this movie sucked. I wanted to see more of his life story, not rolling in the hay with his lovers. Not enough dancing, singing, I wouldn't call it a real musical. The end is, for me real shame, I don't think they knew how to end it except ACTION.
