The major weakness of this movie is its category. Cowboys (and Indians) and Aliens doesn’t fit any. With its title I assumed that it would be a campy spoof on the topic. I was hoping that Harrison Ford would have a role similar to his Indianna Jones character with assorted funny moments involving the aliens. There were NONE throughout this entire movie! He was portrayed as an “evil” rancher and failed miserably as such. Craig (007) was also far too serious. The movie needed some sort of comedic aspect. A bumbling side-kick would have been a nice touch. So now one has to assume that this is a “serious” movie, but here it failed as well. There are far too many flaws in the storyline. **SPOILER ALERT** Killing the aliens was done in all sorts of ways but it was sporadic. Sometimes bullet would do but other times it wouldn’t, for no apparent reason. The aliens were a cross between a huge ant and a preying mantis. They could travel at incredible speeds, however were unable to catch up to a crawling female (who turned out to be another alien from another planet—What are the odds?) Instead of shooting from the safety of their huge metal space ship- they leave to attack the humans. The logic of recruiting an outlaw gang to help to attack the creatures was absurd. Craig spends the whole movie with a bracelet on and can’t figure out how to get it off…but then he merely thinks it off… I just didn’t get the movie and I don’t think the movie knew what its objective was. -Funny?. NO -Scary? No… -Action?.. Well not really… Avoid this puppy. I raised my score from a one due to the acting/costumes of the secondary characters.
