I went to see this movie only because a collegue rated it 9 out of 10. After about 15 minutes into the movie I thought my collegue may just be a sick mutha! As the movie progressed I was wondering if I should be calling it DONNIE DARKO 2. Ashton pulls a Tom Hanks in trying to do a dramatic role and like Tom Hanks, he is passable. There are holes in the script but overall it was entertaining, in most ways, original and different from the other films presently out there. The main problem with the film is defining the timeline events and the fact that the same characters keep coming back over and over again. Overall fun but in some ways the butterfly remained a caterpillar trapped in its cocoon..
