Ray Charles. Ray Charles. His story should have been told long ago. Unfortunately not much of it is told here either. This movie is more of a concert, way too much music not enough Ray! But wait a sec! Ray is music so what am I saying? Jaime Fox does a good job of bringing the look of Ray to the screen. A much better endeavor than Will Smith's ALI. Both movies share something in common though, a hard to read timeline. The editing is also pretty bad in this movie as they throw in some 10 second personal scenes between songs that don't mean anything. Some people are sad that Ray charles did not live long enough to enjoy this movie. I thought that too before seeing the movie. 80% of it is song and all voiced by Ray Charles himself, so he has heard the movie. In the end I must admit I shed tears, I enjoyed the music, Jamie became Ray but there could have been so much more.
