I would love to give this movie a higher rating but I can't. This is one of the most difficult movies I've had to review. I took a chance and went on opening night when there were no reviews from this wonderful site. I think this movie was made for the "older" crowd and I think that perhaps 50 years and above would appreciate it more then I did. I am an old soul and enjoy the good 'ol black and white movies so this wasn't too far off from my enjoyment level. It was a tad hard to understand and they really did try to capture the 1940's but seemed to stretch it a bit. Was a shame to see the chain smoking but... that was the era back then. The costumes were good as well. The movie itself? Hmmm... they had some twists in it and when I thought the "mystery" was solved... it wasn't and it kept on going. Joshes little butt showing in the moonlight was the real bonus. LOL It's not a bad movie... it's not a great movie. Take a chance... ya just might like it. Not what we are used to seeing on the big screen.
