A action packed movie that is fast paced through the whole entire movie. "I will find you and I will kill you".

I was so into the movie. This is incredible. 1st time in years I was so excited by a movie. The end is predictable, but not the journey. Full of action, and revenge is always a good theme!

Liam Neeson is a major reason Taken, a riveting, revenge thriller gets high marks. It's a Neeson driven story and he doesn't disappoint for anyone who likes him or a good adventure/thriller.

It had a pretty simple plot with descent acting and I would say it had pretty good action. Overall a pretty good thriller.

Du suspense qui se maintient tout au long du film avec la phrase que j'ai adoré (... I will find you and I will kill you... Good luck)

Good action movie. But, couldn't they find a more beautiful daughter? She did not look 17.

Very badd[...]. For a 61 year old man, Liam Neeson is very fit and the film is what a good action film needs to deliver. It's short and straight to the point and once again, badd[...].

Great movie!!! Very suspicious at areas and some areas were so obvious but that was a thriller! PS: watch the movie in the theater much better than at home!!!

This film is a typical "rock em sock um" action movie with great action scenes and little plot depth or character development. Stereotypical heros and vilains battle it out in their white hats and black hats and with the bad guys spilling enough blood and guts to satisfy. I laughed out loud at some points (as did a few others) although I am certain this was not the reaction intended. None the less, I enjoyed it enough but I recomend waiting for the DVD.

This movie grabbed my attention immediately as it had the feeling right from the beginnning that something terrible was going to happen. Liam Neeson was flawlessly cast and filled the screen with testosterone, action and compassion. It was over the top but that's what the bad guys deserved. Paris scenery was pleasing but really could have been shot anywhere. If you're critical and want a nonfiction Jane Austin you won't like it. If you want entertainment and action this movie will keep you on the edge of your seat. And yes, it was very hard to sympathize with the spoiled overindulged daughter and the manipulating devious exwife.

Best movie ever with an excellent message not only to teenagers but to everyone. In these times "TRUST NO-ONE"! Even knowing the outcome, I would watch this one again. MUST SEE.

Taken was amazing non stop action all the way through I love the story line. Its definitely a movie you want to see in the theatre because it wouldnt be as good on a smaller screen. The acting is good and it keeps you on the end of your seat. You know everything will make it in the end and things will work out but the movie makes you second guess yourself.

Pretty decent action movie. There's not much to the plot and it honestly doesn't really differ from a Steven Seagal revenge movie except for acting and production quality. Hard to feel sympathy for the spoiled daughter though.

Lives up to the great reviews given by others on here. Edge of your seat thriller, with a James Bond meets Jason Bourne feel. Really enjoyed the storyline as well as all the action.

Brutal in almost every respect. Writing is cliched. Plot is implausible and contrived on pretty nearly every level. And the acting is atrocious save and except Liam Neeson -- BUT he plays a middle-aged guy who makes Bruce Lee look like a wuss (i.e., gimme a break) Only two types of people should watch: those who like movies that are so bad, they can enjoy the groans. And those who want to see a little Paris scenery.

This movie is quite predictable. I didn't like the message of playing into the fear of parents letting their children grow up. I also am quite tired of American sterotypes of evil people (of course they are not American)

The root of the plot behind Taken was, to me, very disturbing but put it also put a more human face on a tragic and unnecessary evil that some if us, myself included, don't think about that often. The darkness of the theme aside, 'Taken' was great entertainment. The plot was a great pace and the characters, for the most part, were typical and believable. There was enough onscreen to keep you engaged. However, watching Maggie Grace act in the role of an "awkward teenager" was itself awkward, after seeing her in Lost on TV. Better than most movies in early 2009, and not too disappointing.

Liam does an American accent (o dear - the drone) James Bond without the gadgets. Good cinematography. I enjoyed the cold-bloodedness of it. All in all, it was lame and I was sorry I spent the money.

Great movie, a real thriller. This is a breathtaking movie, not out of rage, realistic, you can only enjoy as the plot thickens.

Enjoyed action adventure and would see it again. The story is simple and well told. The editting of the action sequences is excellent, creating a fast paced adrenalin pumping story. There are enough coincidences to make the plot development questionable, but this is easy to overlook with the pace of the film. Cinematography was average. Overall: good action adventure.

I loved it... I know that moms usually tell you stuff like this can happen, but it never occurred to me just how easy and awful it could be. I thought that Liam was a little over the top, kind of unbelievable that he could kill all the bad guys and rescue the girl... but it's the movies right! If your daughter was taken this is what you would want to happen, it's what I would want to happen.

This was the best action movie I've seen in a long time. I liked the story very much. The character of the biological father was well played by Liam Neeson. I loved how he fought to get his daughter back when she was kidnapped. Other characters did not convince me at all their acting was too fake in my opinion. But it is an excellent movie I would recommend for parents, young adult and any adult to watch.
