Although I didn't see the first Expendables movie, I'm pretty sure this was way better than it.

This sequel was much better than the first. It's good to see those actors together. It was good to see Arnold, however, once more he doesn't quite fit in. To a lesser extent, Chuck Norris and Bruce Willis. The rest do a decent job and at least now we have a decent plot, or some plot. It's hard for any of them to even get a scratch, but it's to be expected from Expendables. The action scenes are well choreographed, with some slow parts half way through. Don't go out of your way to see it, but if you do, you might enjoy it.

[ATTENTION: This review reveals content of the movie.]
The only reason I gave this a 1 rating was for all the action heroes I loved seeing! Especially Chuck Norris, he was cool as ever. Jason Stathams fight scene was also cool. The bad rating is not for the script or the actors it's for the gratuitous violence which they did not need as it spoiled the movie completely. I did not need to see peoples heads exploding every few seconds. It was horrible... too horrible. I will not be seeing the next one which is sad really because I enjoy seeing these guys together.

This was really fun to watch!! I preferred this one then the first , lost of guns , lots of explosions , lots of action, lots of funny moments, lots of great acting with great references!! Really a cool movie to relax and watch a bunch of big guys with big guns blow stuff up! And the sound is amazing too with a perfect 7.1 suround!

Very entertaining if you're just in the mood for an all out action movie. Not quite as good as the first, but how can you go wrong with Arnold, Bruce and Sly (and Chuck Norris!) in one movie. I grew up watching these guys, amazing.

Such a great group of actors in one movie, it was funny, great action, it's a must see!

I found this very entertaining. Somehow better than first one as all my old favorite action characters/actors are in this one. We all clapped and got agitated when Chuck Norris showed up. He never dies... never, ever. Hilarious!

If you want to see bodies being blown up and arms and legs and bloody tissue continuously exploding on the screen this is the movie for you. Story line is so weak I can't even remember what it was. I give credit to the lineup of actors - old boys club giving it one last attempt at movie magic. Unfortunately these gentlemen fell way short of making anything about this movie memorable. Except that it was not worth the free admission coupon I used to get in.

Good show... interesting to see all the different actors in one movie... lots of funny moments pertaining to previous movies... good enough story to sustain the actors role...

Lots of fun and old movie references. And only more gratuitous violence makes it a great romp through the war zones of Europe.

I want my money back. I have only ever walked out of 3 movies - this was painfully bad. They must have enlisted several 10 year olds to write the script. For all of you who voted that it was good - shame on you.

Full of cliches, too many in fact. Wasn't sure if it was meant too be taking the mickey out of itself or not. Ultra violent, cheesy, sometimes embarrassing to watch. HOWEVER!, what totally blew me away in this movie was the fight scene and intensity of acting between Sly and Jean Claude at the climax of the film. It was worth it to sit through all the bad lines and bad acting just to see this. Such a superbly choreographed action piece and both men pulled out their acting chops to make this one of the best showdowns between hero and villain in action flick history. My rating gets dragged up to a 7/10 just because of that. If only the rest was as good, it would get a ten.

Wouldn't necessarily go see it again on the big screen. Lots of cliches for the big name action heroes. It was entertaining and good to see so many big stars on one cast. Cameo by Chuck Noris was very entertaining. Not the best movie I have ever seen but with a tongue in cheek flair it was entertaining.

Predictable and they should avoid giving Stallone any serious lines because they were a joke.

I loved the movie because of Chuck Norris from Walker Texas Ranger, he can still kick some ass.

Its got Arnold!!! The Guns of guns, the man getting into more choppers than a bf3 nerd, into more tunnels and boats Genghis Khan!! Just see it, and the child in you will thank you.

The first was pleasantly surprising mayhem and the sequel may actually be better. The cheese factor is omnipresent and gets a little tiring but it does generate a few laughs. The action is constant and over the top with just enough drama and quiet moments to remind you that you're not watching a 2 hour trailer. All in all I was thoroughly entertained and was surprised to find that I vaguely cared about the characters and the story in the end which I couldn't really say for the first movie. Great big screen popcorn flick for anyone in the mood for some nostalgia or at least a tolerance for cheese with a big action payoff.

Movie was great... you have action, drama and comedy all rolled into one... and performed by those dinosaurs... a good 'popcorn' movie and parody of those old action films decades ago...

A real Shoot'em up, all star cast action film. U don't go expecting Oscar nominated acting... but entertainment. And it was! [...]

My son warned me that this movie wasn't worth the price of the ticket, but I went anyway. I thought I could sit through some mindless action. No, no, I can't! Well... I'm ashamed to actually admit it, but I did stay in my seat though it all. There's a guy who posted his review on this site that left early and we all owe him homage: HE DID THE RIGHT THING! Self-loathing, that's what I'm feeling for not leaving the theatre after fifteen minutes, seriously. If you can't help yourself because of the big ticket actors and you need to go, wear dark sunglasses to and from the theatre: you must protect your self-image! Sadly, I failed to do so...

This film is like THE TRANSFORMERS: mechanical sound and fury but with no heart. Of course, the villains henchmen are such poor shots, it is a wonder why they were hired in the first place- they are mowed down with ease. The cinematography is terrible- it looks like a filter composed of vasoline and smoke was used. No humour whatsoever. The team of heroes should have just been Arnold, Bruce, and Sly and with them placed in a good franchise like a new PREDATOR or DIE HARD 5.

I walked into this movie expecting another sequel. I love mindless action, and expected just that. What I did not expect was the humor and fun that this movie presented. The actors have learned over the years not to take themselves too seriously and I enjoyed that aspect of it. If you think this is going to be anything but mindless action, you will be disappointed. If you go in just wanting a blast from the past with some awesome actors, then I think you will enjoy it.

Please remember what you are getting into! This is supposed to be a dumb action movie and it succeeds in that goal. While the first Expendables ripped off the audience with the misleading Schwartz/Willis advertising, this sequel actually delivered. Dumb predictable action movie with goofy one liners. If it had any surprises or originality, it would be more than a 7/10, but it is what it is.

I liked this movie quite a bit and I think most would enjoy (it sure is violent!) It's a good movie and worth seeing. It is remarkable how much better this sequel is than the first one (which I did not find as strong) I think it is because this one clearly does not take itself as seriously. Some of the cameos are fairly campy but it is all in good fun which is the idea of the movie in the first place. Fun action movie for what it is, entertaining for almost the entire time (I can't believe I yawned at one point) Certainly nothing earth-shattering but it passes the bill for sure.

I'm not going to be alike others on here. I'm not telling on what and who - but it is a joy to see them as they should be seen on the screen. "Expendables Two" is what I wanted - but it just wasn't enough for me. What was the problem? I saw it in a drive-in. I may go see this again in a cinema. Now, I will tell you, "The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure" has nothing in it compared to this flick. No, I did not see that movie, but I do know, you'd enjoy this film much more than that. I can't believe that movie was actually made. Anyway, "Expendables Two" is about the past screen masters, now together on the screen, and together for us for a blast to the explosive 1980s/90s. It starts off really abruptly with a crazy action set-up, but then goes into a passable story that is really a return of a threatening villain, played by Van Damme, who actually pulls off the role rather well. I was surprised how much I had missed him from the screen. Even Dolph Lundgren presents himself as a person we'd like to see more of on screen. The real kick was seeing Chuck Norris. I hope he starts making more movies alike this one. This was not a boring, or slow tedious movie. It was what you'd expect from the actors - restored action on screen from veterans we want to count on for action.

Wow that was a waste of money. It was so bad I couldn't stop laughing the whole movie. Where the first movie was interesting because it had so many big action actors, this one was just filled with overkills. I usually like all Stallone movies but he is completely horrible here. The only one who's sorta okay is Chuck Norris but just because he is barely in the movie at all. You can be sure I will NOT watch any further movies from this series. Expendibles they sure are!

This is totally awesome (for the action fans it is) this movie is crazy... in the first five mins there has already been a bunch of explosions and the big guns and tanks were already out! (was a lot of blood though) still awesome with all the action. I will freak out and be amazed if any action film could beat the action from this awesome non-stop awesomeness. It had a great ending, I wouldn't be suprised if they made Expendables 3!

A lot of big names in this movie, I expected a bit more out of Chuck Norris though, at least a fight with Van Damme as they are both black belts. There is humour as well, but if you're not paying attention, you'll miss it. (I'll be back) is just one example. Overall it was a good movie, worth seeing.

WOW! During the first 2 minutes there was so much non stop action I thought to myself how can they top this? There is still a whole movie to go! They did it with style!!! I was surprised by the one liners that cracked me up! I laughed so much and felt extremely entertained by its end.

This is a man's movie. Large explosions, heads & other limbs disintegrating, 2 Bad [...] bad guys, great one-liners, smoking cigars, muscles, bad attitude all around, big guns, big arms, big vehicles (hummers, boats, airplanes & more.) The first 15 min is all about kicking [...] and exploding stuff. Plus a few surprise guests make into the movie. Just like old times when movies were made for men and women envied us!

If you want a good laugh and mindless entertainment then this movie is a must. It was hilarious to see Sylvester Stallone, Chuck Norris, Arnold and Jean Claude Van Dam all together. Although the story was a little far fetched it brought quiet a few laughs. Enjoy!
