This movie is 1h52 and did not feel long at all. The first half of the movie goes smoothly, explaining the premise and what's happening. And then an accident occurs, triggering a serie of events, which is the action packed part. This movie talks about differences between cultures, between people, it's about racism and how we judge others. It's also about government, and about how, as humans, we know what we should do as a society but too often fail and stray from the good path. It's mainly about choices, free will, understanding. Saddly enough, I found the movie depicted how uncivilized we are. I'm not going to start a debate on the human morality, but it's nice to have a movie delivering a message. The action sequences could make some people close their eyes, for bodies exploding are filling the 2nd half of the movie. An interesting way of looking at ourselve s from another perspective. Good action. Good plot. There may be a sequel in 3 years... PS : for the people saying it doesn't make sense that most aliens were brainless brutes and 2 of them were smart, there could be a ton of reasons for that. If you actually think harder, I'm sure you'll find one or two.
