Just about everything with Statham in it is awesome and this proofed it yet again.

It was ok but it could have been better. It was just a little over done I think.

Death Race is like Chuck Norris covered in marshmallows. Awesome. Worth every penny.

This show is fantastic a lot of people don't like Paul Anderson's films (such as Alien vs. Predator, Resident Evil Trilogy, and Mortal Combat) personally I enjoy all of those films and this one too. The action is good, the cars are great, and the comedy is also very good. And of course Jason Statham gives us a great performance he was great in those Transporter movies I haven't seen Transporter 3 yet but I am planning too anyway great movie recommend seeing it to anyone expect young children of course.

You know exactly what you're getting with a remake, so if you're good with that then definitely go see it.
| 7/10 | jeff@ - 55 reviews 25.5.2009 - age: 36-49 |
Very Good Action!!! Nice cars!!! Nice guns!!! Nice women!!! Average plot. Average acting. Good for those who like action!!!
| 7/10 | jamesllef@ - 44 reviews 2.1.2009 - age: 26-35 |
Takes a lot from Running Man and Series 7 – The Contenders even though it is suppose to be based on Death Race 2000. It mostly copies some characters from 2000. Machine Gun Joe didn’t cut it here, not as good as the original Machine Gun. Rappers can act!

Wow totally awesome. Definitely to-buy. It is awful what happened to him. I totally empathized with his situation, I would have been so angry I don't know how I would have dealt with it. I understand completely when he stopped his car in the middle of the race to finish off that other driver.

Fun, good action... Jason Statham best film since Crank.

Amazing Loved it... going to see it again this evening.
| 10/10 | pearlzdesign@ - first review 3.10.2008 - age: 26-35 |
If you've seen the clips you know the plot. There is no surprises with the story but it's a pretty fun mindless action romp. A twist here or there would have been nice.
| 7/10 | parker_2@ - 296 reviews 2.10.2008 - age: 36-49 |
There are very few instances where a movie delivers exactly what it promises. I walked in expecting cars, crashes, and stuff blowing up. It did all of these things perfectly.
| 9/10 | scottmaciver@ - 23 reviews 29.9.2008 - age: 26-35 |
That tool two reviews down doesn't know movies then if he expects a movie like this to be completely realistic... use your brain. I also don't see how anyone can say that there is no story to this movie, That's why this movie is doing fairly well for what it is. Mind you no one thinks its oscar worthy, but as an action thriller about racing prisoners, its done pretty damned good for itself, I hate [people] that go to a movie they know they wont like and then rip on it. Go watch Nights in Rodanthe.
| 10/10 | sdenright@ - 31 reviews 28.9.2008 - age: 18-25 |
What a waste of money. I feel completely ripped off.
| 2/10 | mivanov007@ - 11 reviews 26.9.2008 - age: 36-49 |
This movie isn't reccomended for many reasons, however to be quick and to the point I'm going to list my top three. 1) A very weak storyline- shallow character development. 2) All though there is substantial 'blow up' elements, the movie over all failed to deliver the action it was made out to be. I HATE that you see the movie in the trailer- but again you basically do. (the good stuff any ways- the rest is a waste of time) 3) It's really far fetched. Things like this don't happen and never wiil. Irrelevant.

Super special effects. Definitely worth seeing. Violence is pretty ugly.

If the ending was better, I would have given it a better rating.

It's not the same as the old Death Race 2000, but it is a lot more realistic, (it actually could happen) It's kinda like a cross between the video game TWISTED METAL, with a similar plot to THE RUNNING MAN. It's a MUST SEE for car-buffs!!
| 10/10 | dhbikerpunk@ - first review 21.9.2008 - age: 26-35 |
Wow, what a great movie. There's all kinds of things that blow up, and lots of shooting and blood and some guy has his head knocked off by a car and there's lots of stuff that blows up and there's blood and there's hot chicks who are in the car,... and did I say that there's lots of stuff blowing up?

| 7/10 | manelfern@ - 22 reviews 16.9.2008 - age: 26-35 |
Way better then I thought it would be I encourage it for anyone who wants a good action driving movie it was brutal in some parts but had a dumb ending.

| 10/10 | hot_boy.furqan@ - 19 reviews 14.9.2008 - age: 13-17 |
My friends and I all went to see it and we had a good time. The story wasn't the best, but I never expected it to be. However, what it lacked in story, it made up for in action. In the end it kept me entertained and thats all I needed.
| 9/10 | shadowhacker@ - 61 reviews 14.9.2008 - age: 18-25 |
I loved the way the movie was done. How many things were so surprising, which is very unlikely in movies these days. I really enjoyed it, and had an amazing time watching it. Then again, I do love racing movies, but this is one of a kind, it's not just any racing movie.
| 10/10 | rustynatt@ - first review 14.9.2008 - age: 13-17 |
I thought this would be another one of those stupid action movies with a dumb ending. But I was so totally wrong. Not only was the story line amazing, but the ending left me actually happy for once! Yay. Great movie.

| 8/10 | brenda.giannetti@ - first review 13.9.2008 - age: 36-49 |
Tarantino's attempt to do 'grindhouse' fell rather flat with me. Grindhouse to me was exemplified by the Death Race 2000 movie from 1976, which I saw in a seedy one screen theater, shoes on a sticky floor with popcorn stuck to the screen, the whole place manned by folks one drink from skid row. While this remake (bearing little but spiritual resemblance to the original) is not in the same league for slumming, it certainly benefited from it's higher budget. Technically it was reasonably well done. It did not however kindle reminisces of glory days gone.
| 6/10 | panpiper@ - 124 reviews 12.9.2008 - age: 36-49 |
Very well though out plot line due to the fact that the theme is a race in a prison environment. Very entertaining, action packed!
| 9/10 | joelcd50@ - first review 12.9.2008 - age: 18-25 |
Death race was freaking great! It was none stop fun. Make no mistakes it's a terrible movie but it wasn't trying to be critically acclaimed by any means. Its called what it is, Death race. I'm totally going to see it again!

| 10/10 | lekgolo360@ - 3 reviews 7.9.2008 - age: 13-17 |
It was ok, the story line is not its strong suit. Its fun and the ending was postive.
| 6/10 | frankc@ - 44 reviews 7.9.2008 - age: 36-49 |
Very violent but the premise is good. You can see how this will be a new video game very soon... meant to appeal to younger men.

| 9/10 | drobinson@ - 2 reviews 6.9.2008 - age: 18-25 |
Good movie you wont regret seeing it. Only problem is that you figure out the plot/ending half way through. Movie could have improved in a few spots but all around I recommend seeing this one.
| 8/10 | petervelenosi@ - 5 reviews 6.9.2008 - age: 18-25 |
Really enjoyed this movie. I'm not usually into the Action movies, but this was more than worth the money to see it. There were some parts that were excessively violent, but it made the movie have a point. The actors chosen for the roles were perfect. I will defiantly see it again!
| 9/10 | talaynak@ - 4 reviews 5.9.2008 - age: 18-25 |
A very good movie. Full of action just the way I like it. Jason Statham is a wonderful actor who always delivers no matter what role he plays. GO see it now, you won't be disappointed.

Seriously? Classic movie about what has become decadent about movies. Big guns, dumb cars, dumb blonds, cheap killing. There could have been refinement here. There could have been cinematography and intelligent design. But playing video games is about the equivalent of watching this mehhh movie.
| 5/10 | waynekwan@ - 24 reviews 2.9.2008 - age: 26-35 |

This was great good ending good beginning and really cool stunts and stuff really fun to watch, I knew the movie would end like that though only problem I found was when she said "we'll see who will s*** on the side walk"? Yeah... but other then that it was my favorite movies!!
