Liked it. The acting was very satisfying, interesting characters, and a story that was very entertaining. I would recommend it.

Emotion evoking. A look into the flow of life and who we are, how we overcome the daily trials & hurts of the heart. The triumphs we acheive with the love of family (however quirky)and forcing ourselves to beleive in ourselves and others... there so much more to b said about this movie... excellent acting by all involved!!!

Not the picture I was expecting. Movie was billed as a comedy but as others have pointed out here it is not. Sunshine Cleaning is a slight little film that while reasonably entertaining it is forgettable. The performances are good, the direction okay, the story hinges on a bit of a gimmick. Worth seeing only at the discount theaters.

a really down to earth movie about how a lot of every day people struggle to make it. No phoney effects in this movie.

It was a really god movie with loveable characters and a great story. Not a much as a feel good movie as was little miss sunshine but great performances by Emily Blunt and amy Adams. Worthwhile!!!

This was so good. Definitely worth the ten bucks! If you're in the mood for a comedy, this is a must see.

Great acting from Emily Blunt and Amy Adams in this heartwarming, touching, realistic down-to-earth movie. An enjoyable movie worth seeing!

I had been expecting a comedy... definitely not, but a good movie about real life... a few chuckles, a few tears, a film that keeps us thinking days after having seen it... always a good sign AND... maybe not a Happy ending but a Hopeful ending.. go see it! Acting is excellent.

Entertaining and a delightful change from shooting and killing, explosions and silly animated kiddie stuff.

I was surprise how much I enjoy this movie. Strong performance by Amy and Emily. Beware subject matter pretty dark...

Film would be more satisfying if you were not privy to the trailers, which gave the appearance of a comedic film. Nevertheless, strong performances by Amy Adams, Blunt and Arkin (as well as the quirky kid) The characters may appear out of synch, but this ties to the story in which they are all loosely treading to keep from drowning in the sadness and despair of their lives. Like little miss sunshine, still quietly optimistic and redemptive.

Great movie, great acting, certainly not a comedy, don't know who decided it was funny.

I was disappointed because the RT Community (Rotten Tomatoes) and IMDb both gave this film good reviews. It's not funny, (not even darkly so) and it may leave you with a bad taste. People only laughed when (re)seeing trailer clips. Wasted time.

This is what I did for my first job. CRAzzzY! I didn't like the movie, as it wasn't realistic. This is a great movie idea, and I think they really screwed up.

Very cute, happy and unpretentious movie. The two lead actresses carry it very well.

No sex, no violence, no nudity, no coarse language... what's left? An entertaining little flic, along the lines of "Little Miss Sunshine" (Alan Arkin strikes again) Ninety minutes of light entertainment.

This is a dud. I was dissapointed like crazy. I just didn't care about these characters at all. The premise was interesting but was only a hint of what seemingly was happening, and what was happening was friggin' drab!

Great acting out of Blunt and Adams; really looking forward to their gag reel. The role of the kid (Oscar) did not fit. I mean, he did a great acting job but in terms of the plot he did not have a function. And who was his Dad?

Cute movie. Some funny moments. Corny ending. Kinda predictable in some ways, but still worth seeing.

This is a very cute movie with stellar performances by the two female lead characters. It is a quirky movie and uplifting! Alan Arkin (the father of the two sisters) is, in my opinion, the best actor in this film. I recommend this movie.

I wouldn’t call it a comedy. There’s some dark humour and really heartfelt episodes…It’s a story about 2 dysfunctional sisters and losers starting a rather morbid business and wind up losing it too. Not a film of resolution rather a splice of life in the heartland. Not too sure what to make of the film in its entirety but if you want to see a rather disjointed tale starring two of the brightest actresses Emily Blunt and Amy Adams and a beloved veteran actor Alan Arkin then there might be “sunshine” for you.

Well, it's no 'Little Miss Sunshine' despite the crotchety mugging of Alan Arkin as an irascible grandfather, and an old van-come-rust-bucket. Amy Adams does her best to play the center point of this rather grim tale (despite its billing as a 'comedy'--it's not) Emily Blunt is interesting as her boundary-living sister, but does not really let her acting chops fly. Steve Zahn is wooden. The obligatory cute child is odd. The message: "Life is a harsh struggle on the fringe but filled with meaning'. Some self-deprecating humour would have relieved the we'll-get-by story arc. Where is Greg Kinnear when you need him?
