The special affects were incredible. In many similar movies eg Terminator, the effects are masked with tons of cuts or fuzzy filming. This movie spend incredible time and energy making the effects real. The pyramid stuff was unbelievably good. The parents and love interest were a nice respite. My only criticism is that there was TOO much action. The latter part of the movie was non-stop... and I mean non-stop action. It was somewhat overwhelming, and took away from my enjoyment of these terrific special effects.
