This movie was horrible. I hated it. The story was boring and the characters acting was horrible too. The movie was about 3 dudes who looked for a new life with cricket. Like how boring.

10/10 for the brilliant acting!! A perfectly balanced 2 hour movie, with just the right amount of drama.

I wasn't too optimistic when I saw the early trailers of Kai Po Che."Rock On", Abhishek's last film, was a great story let down by poor actors. (Disagree all you want but Arjun Rampal is nothing more than a model with a monotone voice.) Here, he rectifies the wrongs of his previous movie by using a cast full of brilliant actors. I'm guessing all have great training or were just born for the craft because the three main leads were perfect in their respective roles. As are the great supporting characters including Amrita Puri. It also pays to have source material from Chetan Bhagat, who has woven together a great tale of sacrifice, humanity, brotherhood and hatred. What I liked most was the reality of the central characters' friendship. They might love each other immensely, but they can also hate each other as much. The cinematography and music by Amit Trivedi also deserve special mention.

Bhery Good Che! When I first heard that it was a movie about 3 friends, I thought Hmpphhh... Again? Why is it that women's friendships have not been tackled in Hindi cinema? But I digress. So refreshing to see a movie about normal young people, their aspirations and the confusion that young men (people) in India feel as they constantly try to strive to make a living, open a business or get a job. The casting is brilliant - The business minded 'proper' Gujarati guy, the rebel who could not make it to the Indian Cricket Team because of nepotism and the reluctant Hindu fundamentalist. The story is set against the Gujarat Riots and makes a brilliant case for humanity. The obsession for Cricket is woven into the movie and captures the Indian obsession for the game beautifully! (Yes I just called Cricket beautiful) Recommended.
