So the main character was a baby in 1974, playing a 22 year old in 2012? The sheriff always had sympathy even in the first one, but I never saw the first one, but in all the other movies he killed innocent people, I'm not sure if they were connected or not I saw all the 2000 movies, but if they were connected that's stupid, I don't know, it was easily entertaining. But 5 people just came into a city 3/5 people died, 2 by his hand, he killed a cop, yet the sheriff lets him off, the storylines connected are ok, he just should have been arrested but if he was, no more hollywood money grabbers. I like the story but at the same time it's so weak.

This movie kicked ass. Great if you're a fan of the originals.

Rating it on what it is... a B rate gore movie. It was Ok and offered a bit of a storyline with acting that was not totally lame. It was ok if you like gore movies. A 'renter' though.

Terrible movie!! There was a tremendous lack of continuity. People hit by cars and are limping one second and running perfectly fine the next. It seems like they used sexuality and Trey Songz's fame to draw in his fans and to suffice for the terrible screenplay. Overall, this is a movie that middle school kids could've done a better job scriptwriting. DO NOT WATCH. I wasted my money.

I gave this movie a 7 just because it's not a movie for everyone. But as a avid chainsaw massacre fan, I have seen every movie, and the first is my fav, I loved this movie. Especially because it is like a sequal to the first. It was very good. I ended up on leatherfaces side in the end, lol.

Was not impressed. I hated the two girls and who they were sleeping with. It disgusted me and I was not impressed with the message being sent. The scenes are not bad, but nothing special. Too much of your typical Friday the 13th formula which was great for its time, but now it's nothing new.

I have not seen the original TCM but I thought this was a good sequel to it. The acting was so so and everyone got killed a little too early like always but I really enjoyed the story line and ending!

You have to see it, it just might scare you to go home scared.
| 7/10 | reneemond@ - first review 15.1.2013 - age: 50+ |
This movie was funny not scary but I loved when he threw the chain saw and it was in 3D so it was like coming to you LOL, if I were you I would wait for DVD accept of paying 3 more dollars just to see it in 3D.

I love horror movies but this is nothing when I saw the trailer it looked ok but the movie I mean really! It was kinda funny watching dumb people get ripped to shreds by a chainsaw but the 2003 is like 1000 times better lol its like the same as cabin in the woods! That was a gross movie... But I DO recommend to people who love funny horror.

Abysmally poor and a waste of time. Not anything like the classic Texas Chain Saw Massacre of years ago.
| 1/10 | mcgillmedstudent@ - 22 reviews 12.1.2013 - age: 18-25 |
It was so so up until about 3/4's of the way thru the movie - then the storyline did a "COME ON MAN?!?!"
| 1/10 | darrylmrl@ - first review 12.1.2013 - age: 26-35 |
The movie wasn't as bad but wasn't as good as the 2003 version.
| 5/10 | sentenza99@ - 599 reviews 11.1.2013 - age: 36-49 |
The movie was the worst chainsaw movie ever. Can you believe they're making 6 more.
| 4/10 | dylfergusfilm@ - 2 reviews 11.1.2013 - age: 13-17 |
I laughed. You are not supposed to laugh as hard as I did during Texas Chainsaw. This wasn't scary at all. Gore for sure but that's about it. The girls were trashy looking, almost looked like their acting was forced. I wouldn't recommend this movie at all.
| 2/10 | baby_cakes_22@ - 64 reviews 11.1.2013 - age: 26-35 |
It wasn't horrible. I seen it opening night with some buddies. Wasn't that scary. Was kinda funny. 3D err not so good. I'd recommend wait for DVD.
| 8/10 | gleefan@ - 41 reviews 10.1.2013 - age: 13-17 |
Movie was good till a bit before the ending. The ending was corny.
| 5/10 | amanda_low@ - first review 9.1.2013 - age: 13-17 |
If you like the American type horror movies (Jason, Chucky...) you will love this! It's not scary but a really enjoyable movie to see.
| 9/10 | sebastian.98@ - 2 reviews 9.1.2013 - age: 13-17 |
Not as jumpy as other horror movies but the 3D is cool.
| 5/10 | krystalboulet@ - 4 reviews 9.1.2013 - age: 26-35 |
SO BAD, YET SO FUNNY. The victims are so stupid, they keep falling, and when they are trying to hide, they are so loud, they make no sense, there's so much mistakes, the cops are idiots... The sheriff is the dumbest person ever, but the crowd was laughing so hard, and so was I. This movie tries to make you hate the killer, which is easy, then they try to make you like him, well give sympathy... WHY, he is killing everyone... for no good reason, this movie is so bad, the acting is stupid, the story... umm Rob Zombie's version of Halloween... way to rip him off. The effects, bad, the 3D was decently good, there some really good shots. The blood and gore? Not that bad, there's worse B movies. It's lazy, it's boring, it's bad, it's funny. THE END.

This is a very bad film and do not waste your hard earned money on it. It is not even worthy of renting on dvd either.
| 1/10 | zakjustleft@ - 11 reviews 8.1.2013 - age: 26-35 |
Was there any call for a rehash of this originally unpalatable, miserable excuse for film making? This movie experience is about as much fun as eating a barbed wire sandwich.

Better than I thought it would be. There have been so many terrible horror remakes/reboots over the last decade and it was refreshing to see a proper sequel to an original. The opening credit sequence where they shoot the original film was excellent. I also liked what they did with the Leatherface, they managed to make him a somewhat sympathetic character. On the downside, the 3D wasn't very good and the acting was terrible, but I guess that's to be expected.
| 7/10 | rickyricky@ - first review 8.1.2013 - age: 36-49 |
Bad Bad Bad!!! This movie was not even close to the 2003 version, which was an amazing film. This film has cheap effects, a weak story and very slow. Don't waste your time.
| 1/10 | al_khan7777@ - 3 reviews 7.1.2013 - age: 26-35 |
This movie is poor, the end is bad also, I did not enjoy it and regretted seeing it. I do not recommend anyone to watch it.
| 4/10 | driton@ - 7 reviews 7.1.2013 - age: 26-35 |
It was incredibly graphic but realistic at the same time.
| 9/10 | leah.jackson77@ - first review 7.1.2013 - age: 26-35 |
For Any Fanatic of the horror genre, especially the top guys in it like Freddy, Jason, Michael Myers, Chucky etc. this film definitely shines a new light on leatherface. What I appreciate most about this film is that it gives more insight into who leatherface really is, and actually gives him a bit more of a backstory. Although there are some inconsistent facts, the acting is mediocre, and there are not enough kill scenes, this movie is worth the watch.
| 7/10 | lance.sheppard@ - first review 7.1.2013 - age: 26-35 |
Wow way better than the one that came out in 2003 must see this movie.
| 9/10 | jdaron@ - 2 reviews 7.1.2013 - age: 18-25 |
Oh my... What a predicable boring plot! You can literally see EVERYTHING coming! If I didn't go with my girl I probably would fell asleep.
| 5/10 | movieking@ - first review 7.1.2013 - age: 18-25 |
The story line is much better then expected, but the 3D effects were not very good for a "slasher" film. I thought they could have done so much more with the gore.
| 6/10 | levere.charles@ - 4 reviews 6.1.2013 - age: 26-35 |
It was amazing, the 3d was so cool, the story was interesting and there was a twist at the end. Loved it, don't miss it.
| 9/10 | danny@ - 14 reviews 6.1.2013 - age: 13-17 |
Once you've seen the original meathook hang, then the rest seem very tame... and Leatherface, the senior citizen? And a tamer one at that?
| 4/10 | alterdnative@ - 5 reviews 6.1.2013 - age: 36-49 |
In terms of slasher horror... gore, laughs, chics, violence etc. this is a pure classic. This movie leaves an imprint. There were lots of inside jokes mixed in with brutal violence and silliness. A masterpiece of this type of genre.
| 10/10 | dtavares9@ - 5 reviews 6.1.2013 - age: 36-49 |
I gave a rating of 2 on this movie only because I was a fan of TCM. IF you want to get an idea of this movie, just watch the 4 or so previous sequels to this one... and the fact it is in 3-D, didn't make it any better... the SAME EXACT STORY along with horrible acting. Wow...
| 2/10 | brentturville@ - 57 reviews 6.1.2013 - age: 36-49 |
How dare this movie use this name, pitiful attempt at a horror or a third make of the Texas Chainsaw movies. At many parts the entire theatre laughed at how corny majority of it was. So if you are in for a good laugh, rent it, other than that, avoid at all costs! Omg I am still in aww of the stupidity. Whomever wrote the first review must have slept through the whole thing :s

This film is such garbage. Other than cheep gore scenes this film has nothing to offer. There is even one scene when one of the characters is being sliced in half but you can tell that it is a dummy.
| 1/10 | iceteagrenade@ - first review 5.1.2013 - age: 13-17 |
Stupid fun. Don't expect it to add up or have oscar worthy acting. People in the theatre laughed and yelled at the screen. Lots of gore. Absurd.
| 7/10 | jayjaycavalli@ - 6 reviews 5.1.2013 - age: 36-49 |
This was brutal, totally ruined the story of the texas chainsaw. Story line was terrible and the female characters were walking around half naked most of the movie. Such a let down. The best part was my skittles.
