Don't forget it was based on true... Anyhow a great movie to see. Then again just about any move with The rock in it is freaking awesome regardless. For now that is.
A movie about a father who goes out of his way and even sacrifice his life for his son [who] was set up in a drug deal. Loved it.

Another sucky movie. This paper thin emotional montage, that uses America's war on drugs as a backdrop, takes an otherwise great group of actors and leads them along a flimsy plot that is hinged on actually caring about (or believing that it happened just as portrayed) how some kid from the suburbs got sent to jail for accepting a package of drugs. Compelling? I think not. Lame. I almost puked in my mouth at the end of the film when they noted that America's drug laws treat first time offenders harsher that repeat sex offenders. A worthy cause, but I think the film fell flat in every regard if it was intended to inform the American public about the injustice that takes place in the name of tough drug laws. Oh, and I wanted to see the Rock kick some ass. Two thumbs down.

Interesting story to watch to see how it all ends up. If you like the Rock as an actor then this movie won't disappoint. As he seems to do more movies he gets better. As a wrestler he could always get the crowd going. So he was a natural when it came to acting. Lots of action packed gang warfare, gun fights, car chases.

I wanted to like this movie but the writing and acting was cliche and dreadful. It's tiring seeing Michael k Williams play the same character from the Wire. Avoid if you can.

I love Dwayne Johnson movies, in that respect, he could have laid the smack down more. Given, he was the parental figure in this movie and he probably threw down more than most dads would.

Good story line. I like Dwayne Douglas Johnson's acting. He is always awesome in this kind of role. Worth watching.

Great movie, very interesting story, full of suspense, great acting and it has a great message for all people, to stay away from drugs, cause no matter what, sooner or later you're going to end in jail or dead!

The plot is a bit predictable but the character... the softer, more vulnerable man that the Rock portrayed was not. I'd definitely see it a second time.

This is an excellent movie; I went to see it, without knowing much details about the movie, I was really suprised and I loved it. It's based on true events. It's amazing what a father would do to help his son. Acting was very good. I Like Dwayne Johnson. Susan Sarandon one of my favorite actors. It's a smart movie, liked the action and with a great message.

Okay so absolutely the best ever movie that (Rock) has done... Don't just think about going Do it!!! Well worth the money.

It's very odd at parts, and you sometimes think to yourself, 'Oh, this movie is barely realistic, ' but it actually happened, and it's amazing what a father would do to save his son from being held in jail.

I enjoyed the last part of the movie... But it is more of a drama than an action movie. The story was good though.

For the first time since Be Cool, Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson has to do some actual acting in this true story about a father who decides to cooperate with police by making a drug deal to save his son from a 10 year prison sentence. Johnson is totally convincing, proving with decent material he can deliver a solid performance. Although the film fails to cash in on his most bankable asset, that being his enormous physique, it is believable and moderately entertaining most of the way, with a supporting cast (Susan Sarandon, Barry Pepper, Benjamin Bratt) that is far better than a film like this deserves.

Different kind of action movie from Dwayne J. Not a huge shoot em style movie at all. There's some actual acting going on. John Bernthal (Shane from Walking Dead) seemed at some times to be that shady guy from Walking Dead. But still came through as his character was suppose to. The plot was simple but the story itself was well done. How much of it remained based on actual events, I don't know but I found as the movie unfolded, it became more intense. At one instant in the movie I was livid with Susan Surandon's character. Nice job on making that character very believable (and loathsome) There's an interesting phrase at the end of the movie you have to stick around for and see for yourself. Very good movie.

What a surprise this movie was. I hadn't heard much about it and was glued to my seat the whole movie."The Rock" was amazing and the story line tugged at my heart strings, thinking about what I wouldn't do for my kids. Go and see this movie!

Honestly, if this were a TV movie, I 'might' actually watch it all the way through, but I couldn't make any promises. Having paid for it, in theater, I did and it really was so so. The Rock doesn't embarrass himself in a more serious acting role, however, the screenplay never gave him a chance to shine anyway. The bottom line is that overall quality really was comparable to TV moreso than big screen action. A movie I'd compare would be Arnold's Last Stand, which I personally felt at least had more charm, a character I was more drawn to and cared more about, and a finale with superior action from a visual and writing perspective. Both movies offered a lot less action than most folks would have expected. Despite the quality cast of Snitch, none of them were able to bring any more to their characters than Dwayne Johnson was able to bring to his. The lowest common denominator was the screenplay and it pretty much capped what the actors could offer. Heck, at least the last Die Hard made up for all of the same problems with a lot more wanton destruction, even if it was even weaker from a screenplay standpoint.

It is a simple plot with lots of good guys vs. bad guys action. Not terrible, but not very memorable, either.

Almost didn't see it and glad I did. The movie overall was a surprise with lots of good shoot em ups and a really good chase scene. The end, however, was a little weak and there are no palm trees in Kansas City.

Dwayne actually did amazing! I mean I love him in all his movies (even the corny ones) but for once he didn't look like he was forcing it at all. ACTION all the way through the movie. Loved the storyline, acting was great and like I said not forced. I definitely recommend this movie. It's one of the better ones in theatres right now.

Lots of thrills and chills with drug cartels and the accompanying violence and plenty of car chases scenes, in this case semis. Acting was great. Glad to see Sarandon again in a film, and Dwayne Johnson was terrific in the lead. Surprised and delighted to see Jon Bernthal (formerly Shane in The Walking Dead) Worth seeing.

This movie is HEINOUS. There are absolutely no redeeming qualities to it. The Rock's acting is laughable, past the point of embarrassing. Extremely slow, unrealistic and there are many holes in the plot. SAVE YOUR MONEY. Wait until it comes out on DVD and then avoid it again. You are not missing anything except a couple cringes at some ridiculous attempts at acting from everyone's favourite ex pro wrestler (sorry John Cena).
