When I read X-Men comics as a kid (a very long time ago) Magneto and his mutant minions were simply 'The Bad Guys', without any particular history or backstory... at least if there was, I missed seeing it. This movie explains the whole thing. If you liked any of the X-Men movies so far, you will like this origin story a whole lot. Excellent acting, esp. on the part of Michael Fassbender, good story and effects all work together to make an exceptionally satisfying prequel. Add in some very nice cameo moments and good humourous bits and I can pretty much guarantee a good time. Note that I also saw this in an AVX theatre at Sunridge... it looked and sounded _great_. Recommended without reservation...
