Honestly, I like it better than the first one, although I miss Robin Williams!

On the whole the kids and I enjoyed this far more than the first. I think it's because it didn't come off like an MTV pop music video - the music was more diverse, enjoyable, and emotionally resonant than in the first, even if the story wasn't quite as well-developed. For us the music in the first Happy Feet was a terrible distraction - as if the movie was made to suit the pop R&B/hip-hop songs in the soundtrack and not the reverse. In the sequel it's still there but it's not shoved down your throat. We are still mixed about the krill side-story line - not sure it added much, but was well done all the same.

I loved the first movie more... but this is still a must-see for those who just love Happy Feet! :) the picture is absolutely stunning!

Cute family movie, funny but mostly for kids :)
| 7/10 | georgiana.stroe@ - 84 reviews 22.2.2012 - age: 26-35 |
I liked the movie, but somehow it came at least a dozen years too late, this movie seems dated, not the animation, the music dance combinations seem right out of the 1980's - concepts, music, dance routines etc. all from the 80's. It just seemed like someone kept it in the vault for awhile before releasing it, if it was released sooner (early 1990's) this movie probably would have got at least a 9 from me.

OK for a Sunday afternoon, a few good laughs. But maybe wait for the video...
| 6/10 | smvancouver@ - 17 reviews 21.1.2012 - age: 50+ |
I loved the movie because, of the singing, the dancing, and the cuteness! It was a really good masterpiece though, because there's a really sad part, but I can't tell it to you, if you didn't see it! Go for it!

I loved this movie, full of funny songs and humorous moments. If you did not like this movie I would be surprised because all members of my family loved it! You should see it and vote it in your like! Hopefully this movie will inspire you as much as it did inspire me!

The movie is funny and you should see it. It is a graet movie.

I got really bored during the movie, the storyline was bad but it was a good movie for family.
| 6/10 | miguelgon@ - 11 reviews 3.1.2012 - age: 1-12 |
The movie was ok, but boring at times. I would have rated it better had I not compared it to the first movie which was amazing.
| 6/10 | lomax363@ - 30 reviews 31.12.2011 - age: 50+ |
Good quality animated feature, but predictable. I did not see the first Happy Feet when I went to see Happy Feet 2. Some fun moments but predictable. There were lots of kids in the matinee we attended and it enhanced our enjoyment of the movie to hear THEIR reactions to the story. When we got home and were having dinner, Happy Feet 1 was showing on TV. It was just like Happy Feet 2.

It was okay but I love it and it has lots of information in it.

Storyline is very poor. We love animated movies but did not enjoy this movie at all. There were few funny moments but rest of the story was too boring to follow.

I braugh my 3 kids (3, 5 and 7) to see it and they loved it. Even more than the first one.
| 9/10 | pierre.metayer@ - first review 12.12.2011 - age: 36-49 |
It's a kids movie so sit back and just enjoy the ride. And never compare it to the original, it's so wrong and unfair. Overall it was still pretty good.

It was a classic comedy about a little penguin who wants to fly I mean if I was a penguin I would want to fly so on the journey the little penguin learns he can't but trying is all that counts.

Happy Feet Two was a very entertaining movie. Everyone should take their children to see this movie or rent a child and take them.

The movie was really good, better than the first.
| 10/10 | c.fernandez1999@ - 4 reviews 5.12.2011 - age: 1-12 |
Somehow the animators managed to make a baby penguin cuter than little Mumble. Of course, the storyline is just as amazing as the first one, and the Krill are hilarious - Matt Damon and Brad Pitt did an excellent job. This is one of those sequels that actually works!
| 10/10 | starofleo@ - 3 reviews 4.12.2011 - age: 13-17 |
It was a good movie. The graphics in it were amazing and the characters are really well made. Be sure to see it.

I was really impressed with the sequel Happy Feet 2. Although, the day we went the screen did not show very good. That takes 2 points off. Anyways, very well written, very well done.

Great funny characters. Excellent philosophical dialogue. Super moral lessons. And a climactic ending that will make you cry, laugh, and cheer.

It was good. I think the first one was better. Animation was great & some cute one liners.
| 7/10 | gloriac@ - 36 reviews 29.11.2011 - age: 36-49 |
Absolutely wonderful. For those teens and adults too jaded to enjoy excellent fantasy and who expected more, just exactly what the hhmph does that mean? It was extremely well done and I look forward to more sequels. Gotta love the krill.

This is a great movie, very well done, great story, lots of lessons to learn from it. It's the perfect holiday movie for a family to watch and spend time together. The songs and dances were great. The different characters were amazing!

A "cute" movie. But for me the most riveting aspect was the quality of the animation and the three-dimensional rendering! The ice vistas were awesome, and the depictions of ice movements were, to my mind, extremely realistic. Also the scene with the Aurora Australis. And some of the animation was also riveting; particularly the scene where one of the penguins is being pursued underwater by a leopard seal. As for plot... what plot? I found the plot to be very thin, subordinated to superb animation. But it is good entertainment; expect to be impressed by the technical accomplishment, some of the best 3-D I have yet seen.

| 8/10 | jojo1926@ - 4 reviews 22.11.2011 - age: 50+ |
Sometimes cheesy, sometimes weird, in some ways simple, in other ways complex and philosophical, and even fairly often dark and foreboding. I would have thought maybe so much so that it might not work for younger kids, but judging from some of the parents' reviews here, there are young kids who loved it too. I liked it because it was a different sequel, much the way Babe:A Pig in the City was compared to the original Babe. Also, a total visual treat, and worthwhile 3D for a pleasant change lately.
| 8/10 | robert-kralj@ - 186 reviews 22.11.2011 - age: 36-49 |
Well, it's a fun, weird and boring movie all in one. I had a nice time to watch the movie by some time and when they started to sing or dance for no reason, I disconnected totally of the movie. By moments, it was a piece of art, other time was so crappy. I recommend it for the kids but older audience, it could be like I described previously.

Well my son really enjoyed this movie but I have to say the cheese and cuteness were milked beyond my comfort level. I liked the novelty, adventure and discovery in Happy Feet 1, but this movie is just warm and fuzzy throughout. Although the Emperor penguins were trapped, the film failed to portray the emotion of danger or panic-stricken to reflect the reality of their situation. I also found the krill characters distracting and pointless.

Great movie experience for young and old alike. If you can, I would suggest seeing it in IMAX 3D.

A nice story, the kids loved it. My eldest enjoyed the first movie better, but she still liked this one.
