It was terrific in every way! Realistic, action packed, full of supporting emotion, and a real class act!

Took my 14 year old son to this movie and we both thought that is was excellent! It makes you have a much deeper appreciation of what navy seals go through to protect us and give us freedom. Yes the Seals were not REAL actors, these were REAL people doing their REAL jobs. And for the people who thought this was a poor movie, they obviously did not get the true picture of what this movie was trying to portray! KUDOS to the men & women who do this kind of job, knowing they may not come home to their families! THANK YOU!

Go watch your kids play a video game... time better spent. Horrible flick. Male [...] who loves a good action movie, this is not it. May I have my money back?

It was much better than I anticipated! A very macho movie, but need fine tuning! Overall, uncomprised, untouched by artificial cliches, but very down-to-earth. I recommend it as it is based on real events as well!

I saw this movie and was enthralled from the get go. Very impressed by the fact these were real NAVY SEALS and thought they did an excellent job acting. Americans need to wake up and get a small inkling of what these brave, amazing men go through to protect our beloved country! And, lets not forget the stoic families of these fearless men.

Fantastic movie, really felt the heart of these navy seals and what they risk and sacrifice. Really a moving film and definitely makes you want to shed a few tears. Also really enjoyed seeing the real effects of the weapons. Well done and definitely recommend to see this film.

Best movie of the year so far. Could not tell they were not actors. If you want a war movie this is the one. Nice to be reminded the price some pay for our freedom.

Seems that people REALLY can't grasp that the men in this movie AREN'T actors... so DON'T expect great acting!!! And yes the dialogue is a little bit cheesy but the movie wasn't meant for the dialogue, it was meant to portray what Navy seals go through on a daily basis!!! I'd like to see these people who say it's a terrible movie, do something that they aren't good at and have everyone criticize them! They are SOLDIERS not ACTORS... BIG BIG difference!!! It was a great film, great action scenes, not hollywood effects! Worth seeing, dying to see it again!!! Fantastic work on this film, would love if there was a sequel!!!

Intense movie. Touching at times. Good story line and tons of action. Pretty gruesome, so I wouldn't advise taking the squeamish girlfriend. There are some pretty badass scenes in this one.

This movie should not be in theatre period. Dialogue is very bad. Action side just the first scene is great. The rest is dump action, nothing smart. I want my money back. It's better to rent it. Sheers.

Documentary like without being completely one. The previews took away a part of the intensity I was supposed to experience when I saw the movie but certain scenes still caught me by surprise. We are lucky to live in a place where there is no war but the reality is very different for others. Because of that some of us have to get involved and risk their lives. It seems like war is not that far from us after all.

The action was good but the terrible acting totally ruined it. Doesn't matter if they're not real actors, it was a pitiful attempt. Simple story line and definitely details what our soldiers are up against. Good but not worth paying to see. Wait to rent... Or don't see it at all.

Wake up people, this was not an "action film" with the A listers of Hollywood. This is a docudrama, based on real events. My deepest respect for the soldiers that put their lives on the line every day, and to their families who support them. We do not know half of the covert operations that go on every day to keep us safe from the evil of the world; where for money and power these degenerates blow up innocent people! Whether it's the Jihadists or the IRA or the far Christian right, these soldiers ensure we have the freedoms to wake up every day in peace! Kudos!

Anyone who complains about the acting in this movie is an embarrassment to movie critics everywhere. The movie has real Seals as the characters to express the realism of what they go through. There is a reason Brad Pitt and Matt Damon aren't the leads, and it is the best part about it. This movie is amazing, real, well directed and should be seen by all, except kids (quite graphic)

This movie is good for someone who enjoys war movies, unlike me it is also a very sad movie so if you like movies like that, you should go and see it sometime, but not if you are under the age of seventeen so that means no children babysitters, it also has a lot of violence in it, so I really didn't like this movie, but u can go ahead and give it a try.

I give this movie a generally good review. Yes the acting is horrible and there's bad dialogue but that's expected. It's the action which makes this film. It will show you that real Seals don't bob and weave and run around like monkeys like in other Hollywood films. They keep level and shoot straight. The action sequences and gunfire in Act of Valor is unmatched.

Poor acting, the characters were not believable... dialogue was dry at best, maybe they should have just been stunt doubles.

Great movie, excellently produced, left me sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time, I also found the way the Seals work fascinating, great antagonists, but there was a single part in the movie I felt lost for 5 minutes, but that cleared up after. [A] definitely must see!

A soldiers tale in the field of battle starring a real military cast. Unlike the Hollywood reality of other notable heavyweights, actors can pretend to be a soldier, but soldiers cannot pretend to be themselves in studio environment. The directors involved should have removed every element of filming and script, they should have left these men to be natural. Instead the final production is the biggest budget ever produced for an enlisting commercial. Strangely the greatest tale of strategy and fatigues is the classic tale Apocalypse Now, starring men who went home after filming, instead of returning back to the battlefield. Bravo for their efforts as actors, huge thumbs down for the production crew behind the cameras.

Thought this movie was authentic, the actors weren't really actors but true Navy Seals and it showed in their execution of the action scenes and also in the absence of experience in acting but nevertheless, this movie delivered alot of raw emotions and pride.

Awesome movie just like black ops actors? It is just a combat movie don't need big name actors, it's not a drama and like I said call of duty black ops.

A movie intended to portray realistic tactics and realistic combat. To allow the story to unfold however the story line constantly put the Seals in a precarious situation that in real world would not happen. It got the message across about the risks, but I think in a real fire fight the Seal weapons and tactics would and are much more powerfull than displayed. Perhaps some intentional misdirection. A refreshing movie and realistic terminology over the usual holywood BS.
