I was surprised and disappointed whilst walking out of the theatre. Surprised in terms of how the characters were almost, if not as, effective as in the first film. Disappointed in terms of how similar the storyline was. I found much of the film predictable, which really isn't a big deal in comedies, but an element of surprise would be a nice thing (as the first film had) I was also disappointed that Justin Bartha once again had a significantly smaller role than the other guys. Even Ken Jeong had more screen time than Bartha. Even with the predictability, the film was still very funny and most of the characters were just as good as the first film. I really hope in the next one (they are already penning a script, apparently) they mix up the story a bit and create a different scenario. Maybe grab a different screenwriter (like Allan Covert or Justin Theroux) to help throw in new elements. I would recommend waiting until this comes out on Blu/DVD since you know there is going to be an Unrated version and it's not really worth it to pay to see it twice (unless of course you're planning on buying it rather than renting it)
