This movie is truly a masterpiece because of the genius acting of Meryl Streep. She definitely adds the intensity that her character has to exude in order to get the point across. Philip Seymour Hoffman plays great as well opposite Streep. The movie has a lot to say about living in the dark ages as opposed to letting one's faith grow and finding a way to still have some fun while believing in God.
