With all the publicity that this film received I was sure it would be an awesome movie. It turned out to be just "good." The good things it had going for it were that I watched a straight 2.5 hours of it without looking at my watch, hot shots of Brad Pitt's naked skin and some pretty cool fighting scenes. The bad things were too much pathetic mushy romantic stuff (yeah and I'm a girl who loves romantic movies - maybe it was because it was poorly acted), and the feeling that I got when I left the theater... Troy was okay, but it seemed like it was a script that had not been edited yet... some of the stupid stuff wasn't taken out. Ahhh WELL. You can't go wrong with sexy Brad Pitt if that's what you're into, and although the story didn't follow the original too closely, it was still a must see. I hadn't been to a movie in years that was sooo packed, and they were showing it on 4 huge screens.
