6.5 for Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, the visuals are good and the 3D is above average compared to other 3D movies as of late but the script and acting isn't the greatest, all in all not a bad movie, but it could have been better, the storyline and script could have been better. The 3D and effects make this movie.

It was halarious and it has such scary parts but we came out safe so it was really good.
| 10/10 | horseysgirl123@ - 2 reviews 6.3.2012 - age: 1-12 |
Great movie! It was a great experience watching it especially in 3D! If you like adventures, then I recommend you to go see this!

I am usually a good audience regarding movies, but I am sorry, this one wasn't good. I really don't understand the average rating for this movie. This sequel was poor and lacking in essence. If it wasn't for The Rock, the special effects and some funny scenes, I would have given a 2 stars... I LOVED the first one, so when this movie was finished, my husband and I looked at each other disappointedly, and my husband RARELY hates an action or special effects movie... see it if there ISN'T anything else interesting and you don't pay for it!

I like the movie, it was funny and I like science fiction so...

Bravo Brad Peyton.

It was awesome, I love how it feels like you are right there and things are coming towards you. Keeps you on your toes.

This is like hilarious! I was laughing my head off almost the whole movie! The island was very cool.

This movie was a really good film, it was also funny, the actors did a great job, it was very adventurous and cool. Loved it, you have to go see it!
| 9/10 | vonnywonny@ - 2 reviews 3.3.2012 - age: 1-12 |
Dwayne Johnson's "peck manouver" was quite narcisistic. Without that spoof, it was a good movie.

Totally amazing in 3D. My kids and husband and I thought it was the best 3D movie we have seen.

I thought it was a really good movie and I would most definitely go see it again!!!
| 8/10 | mhanson10@ - 2 reviews 2.3.2012 - age: 13-17 |
Kept me interested and was one of the few 3-D movies that I actually enjoyed. Would take the children to see it also.

Good movie to take the kids too. Obviously unbelievable but a good overall movie for entertainment.

Makes me want to go and read all the books mentioned to see if they really do overlap each other...
| 9/10 | cool272@ - first review 1.3.2012 - age: 26-35 |
Fun family adventure... guess that was part of the problem... The only disappointing part of the whole movie is that The Rock did not take his shirt of at any point. Besides that, lots of clean action and a solo by the rock surprises and thrills. Definitely worth it.

Amazing and had awesomeness. Go see it for yourself.
| 10/10 | beretialan@ - first review 28.2.2012 - age: 26-35 |
I watch this with some my friend's kids, and they like it. It is fun but not so much brain, it is like seeing the actors playing in a wonderland. Just cheesy, and fake.
| 6/10 | shortytimmy@ - 34 reviews 28.2.2012 - age: 26-35 |
It was surprisingly watchable. Solid 3D and some humour and the kids (11 to 6) really enjoyed it. Makes me wonder how good it could have been with some real dialogue and a little bit of acting. I didn't even mind the actors, they just needed a script.
| 7/10 | adamjohnshaw@ - first review 28.2.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Loved this movie, fun for the whole family. The colors were great and the 3d effect.
| 9/10 | dwhitham@ - 4 reviews 26.2.2012 - age: 50+ |
I thought the graphics were amazing and JOSH (The male lead) IS a very strong humorous leader of the film!
| 9/10 | hykwando@ - first review 26.2.2012 - age: 13-17 |
It was GREAT! I really liked it, there was a few things they could have fixed but either than that it was funny and exciting.
| 8/10 | quinny_weeze@ - 6 reviews 26.2.2012 - age: 13-17 |
The actors over play their characters so the whole movie you're thinking "wow, these people don't know how to act normal!" instead of listening to the story.
| 6/10 | kiwi@ - first review 26.2.2012 - age: 13-17 |
All of my kids loved it. It wasn't a fight action film like so many today and the movie actually aimed at family entertainment... a little slow at parts but overall it moves at a good pace. The scenes are great in 3D and it links a lot of stories together. Good movie all round.

Good movie for kids. Plot a little thin, but great 3d effects.

I loved this movie I will buy it when it comes out. The 3D was the best I have seen in a long time, good for them. I almost jumped out of my set it was so good. Go see it, if you don't like it there is something wrong with you ;)
| 9/10 | myeddie123@ - 21 reviews 25.2.2012 - age: 50+ |
I loved it. I laughed and jumped and the 3D effects were fantastic. Fun family movie :)
| 9/10 | gypsy_60@ - 2 reviews 24.2.2012 - age: 50+ |
A fun family movie, the story is totally devoid of logic or sense but the characters predictable as they are make it work. Even the Rock with his father figure buddy is funny and enjoyable. Something to watch with the kids.
| 7/10 | triathlon_guy@ - 52 reviews 24.2.2012 - age: 36-49 |
The 3D was better than most. Story OK. Seemed like a piece of movie missing around eel. Also they said the city would rise every 140 years but as it was destroyed to make more sensational ending it ain't going to happen again.
| 7/10 | tcolterk@ - 4 reviews 24.2.2012 - age: 36-49 |
This is it! I haven't seen anything this good since we were under the tree in magic kingdom watching the 3d movie. It is phenomenal 3d! The kids behind us were whooping and laughing and so was I! It is a fantastic "out of the screen jump in your face 3d" (not scary! But the 3d jumps off the screen so much in some parts yep we all jumped and screamed and laughed!!!) this movie is the best one i've seen in ages and you need to see it in 3d or you miss all the fun stuff! It will never be the same on a regular tv or a dvd + we don't own a 3d tv set. I'd go see it again! The story is good, special effects, scenery wonderful, but it's the 3d effects that were so much fun!! And when the movie ended everyone in the theatre clapp'd!! Had a wonderful evening, but fig'd I should let ya know... this is a family movie that rates a 10. And if you want something to take the grankids to... this would be it! You'd all have a blast! (was dreaming in 3d last nite! It was sooo goood) **p. s. stay away from ghost rider 2 it stinks**

You did not know anything or how they are there, they sucked at acting in this movie.

Best movie ever, it is so intense, I want to see it 100000 more times!
| 10/10 | zoefc1@ - first review 22.2.2012 - age: 1-12 |
Lots of action and the Imax experience 3D is intense at times. This is another Lost Island type movie with unique critters, volcanoes, jungle, etc... All done before, but it's still nice to see how well the 3D is coming along; unfortunately the glasses press on my own glasses so I ended up with a pain in the upper nose bridge and a mild headache... I don't get those problems with the AVX experience, but I don't know if the 3D is as intense; would have to see in AVX format to compare - but I'm not that interested in the movie.

I went to see this movie with my sister and her friend and I have to admit I like it overall, but what I didn't liked was the illuminati symbolism. When they arrive in the ruin city you can see on the ground the pyramid with the eye, anyone else spot it.
| 8/10 | aristote@ - first review 21.2.2012 - age: 18-25 |
Totally unbelievable, and cheesy, and corny... but still somehow entertaining.
| 6/10 | mtothelo@ - 4 reviews 21.2.2012 - age: 36-49 |
This movie was worth seeing on a family day weekend, it certainly packed the seats. It was super entertaining, the special effects were wonderful and the Rock was spectacular and so was Michael Caine.
| 8/10 | didi@ - 202 reviews 21.2.2012 - age: 50+ |
This movie was sappy sweet and corny. If you can suspend all sense of belief for 1.5 hours it is watchable but barely. Some of the 3D graphics were okay. It is aimed at a very young audience so perhaps they enjoyed it. Not a movie you would see a second time.
| 5/10 | rodneywareham@ - 191 reviews 20.2.2012 |
The movie I saw wasn't in 3D. The acting was mediocre at best. But it is a good family movie.
