It was a great supernatural movie. But don't let anyone under 9 see it.

This is a funny movie. You have cool guy from outer space interacting with many interesting earth people with entertaining effects. I enjoyed Paul.

Very very very funny, I don't know what people were expecting, but I loved this movie, not as much as SOTD or Hot Fuzz but it was still really great. Great cast and Seth Rogen did an awesome job.
| 9/10 | jer_duarte@ - 92 reviews 27.6.2012 - age: 18-25 |
One of the worst movies ever... and I love the actors... I was sooo angry that I spent money on watching it in the movies... It's like the directors were trying too hard to make the movie funny and it ended up being a waste of over an hour.
| 1/10 | tiaewalker@ - 11 reviews 25.6.2012 - age: 13-17 |
Is it better than Shaun of the Dead? Yes. Is it as witty, and exciting as Hot Fuzz? No. What we have here is an average science-fiction comedy with the dynamic duo of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, which easily turns into a dynamic trio with Seth Rogen apart of the humour in this one.
| 6/10 | redber16@ - 45 reviews 13.11.2011 - age: 13-17 |
One of the most funny movies I've ever seen. Some parts are so funny you will pee your pants, Seth Rogen did an awesome job of Paul. Hilarious must see movie.

Entertaining and funny, but not as funny as I expected.
| 7/10 | zygoto78@ - 273 reviews 22.8.2011 - age: 26-35 |
This was an entertaining movie, except that the foul language was extensive and offensive. Be aware before watching.
| 6/10 | book.boss@ - 36 reviews 17.8.2011 - age: 50+ |
It's always fun to see ET and really wonder about it but this one was really pretty good.
| 7/10 | shazjoao@ - 1723 reviews 16.8.2011 - age: 36-49 |
Trailer had all the best parts and rest of movie was slow.
| 6/10 | mcglasier@ - first review 12.6.2011 - age: 50+ |
Was bored with this movie within first 15 mins. Wasn't as good as I had hoped. "See Hall" Pass instead LOL.
| 5/10 | dezirar@ - 3 reviews 3.6.2011 - age: 26-35 |
Great movie, the fact that Seth Rogen plays Paul ties it all together and then the shaun of the dead cast just perfects it, actor wise 10/10. I'm not the guy who likes any kind of sci fi but this movie was just a pure masterpiece movie wise 10/10.

I liked it! This is a strange view on how an alien might talk and act after being stuck on earth for 60 years. Good acting, and Paul looked real.
| 8/10 | orkelly@ - 80 reviews 15.5.2011 - age: 50+ |
I thought it was a good movie. Definitely not for younger kids. A good movie to laugh to.
| 7/10 | taylor.vargo@ - first review 14.5.2011 - age: 13-17 |
A little too cliché, but nonetheless cute and made me laugh a bit.

Fitfully funny comedy with references to ET:The Extraterrestrial. It could also be called RET:The Rude Extraterrestrial. Seth Rogen voices a spindly, green creature from a planet afar in a role suggestive of a pot-smoking earthling man-child. Kirsten Wiig (sweet!)and other Saturday Night Live regulars are quite good and are as funny as would be expected given their comic pedigrees. But, some jokes were repeated to the nth degree (eg. Wiig's continuous use of incongruous fowl language.)Best joke: One of the men in black asks our heroes, the Brits, if they know Benny Hill? Of course, they shake their heads in the negative (the corney UK comedian has been dead for years!)

Very funny movie, which is hard to come by these days... Highly recommend seeing this movie!

This movie was HILARIOUS. I loved Seth Rogan with his "crunchy" voice as Paul when 2 nerds see him. I see that this movie should be PG-13 with the language and violence but the movie is very funny anyways. GO SEE IT NOW!!!
| 10/10 | lilwayne898@ - 6 reviews 23.4.2011 - age: 1-12 |
This movie was so good. It made me LOL and most movies don't do that.

I like the movie storyline. The excessive language took away from the plot of the movie though.
| 6/10 | shauna.adams@ - 2 reviews 15.4.2011 - age: 26-35 |
Good movie, worth seeing. If you like Simon Pegg fair. Not his best. But still a good laugh.
| 7/10 | ismylifegood@ - 11 reviews 13.4.2011 - age: 36-49 |
Oh my God! This movie is absolutely hilarious!! If you like movies like Pineapple Express and Shaun of the Dead then you will love this movie! Dynamite!

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are Hilarious! Such a great comedy team. Pretty much a good laugh from start to finish!
| 8/10 | teenahiltz@ - 22 reviews 10.4.2011 - age: 36-49 |
Funny funny movie with seth rogan jason bateman and simon pegg it was every funny but I thought they should've rated the movie PG-13 insted of R cause there was no nudity in the movie so.
| 8/10 | jordanmahdi@ - 44 reviews 10.4.2011 - age: 1-12 |
It was a pretty funny movie, lots of laugh out loud moments. I really liked the swearing, however I think they went a bit over board with it. Paul was hilarious, with also an endearing side to him. I think the movie was trying to open up peoples minds to evolution, science, and even homosexuality.
| 7/10 | natalie_wood29@ - 7 reviews 10.4.2011 - age: 18-25 |
It was fun, but not the best Pegg/Frost collaboration. Lots of fairly base humor. Language and subject matter not suitable for children. Religious zealots will be offended if they can't tolerate an argument against faith.
| 7/10 | spoxox@ - 30 reviews 9.4.2011 - age: 36-49 |
Loved every minute of it! In my top 10 comedies for sure! :)
| 10/10 | ldappleby@ - 33 reviews 9.4.2011 - age: 26-35 |
This is a funny movie, as long as you can overlook the bad language, which verges on overkill. Certainly wouldn't let my younger daughter see this, but for teenagers and adults, it really is a good movie with a great twist ending. At the beginning it seems a little slow to take off (sorry, couldn't resist) but once it gets going, it was great.
| 9/10 | anderegg@ - 2 reviews 9.4.2011 - age: 50+ |
It was a really good film, so funny loved the cameos and if you're a sci-fi buff and you enjoy parodies then this is your movie. Go see it now.
| 8/10 | wequ.ryan@ - first review 8.4.2011 - age: 13-17 |
It's really good! I really liked that movie, thank you for creating it.
| 7/10 | hayleigh1998@ - 2 reviews 8.4.2011 - age: 13-17 |
Having enjoyed their previous films, I was disappointed with this latest offering. The story was unoriginal and the rapport between the Pegg and Frost characters is getting tired. Sadly this film was anti-Christian. The writers were ignorant about what Christians believe and showed disrespect towards this religion. That is not good. Writers should show more respect towards other people's beliefs.

This movie brought the 'geek' out in me. Saw it with my son, we both loved it. The plot was original, good twists, excellent sci fi references. Everybody in this movie is super likeable including the ultimate likeable Jason Bateman. If you can get past the language, go see it in the theatre.
| 9/10 | andreel.bouchard@ - first review 8.4.2011 - age: 36-49 |
This movie was hilarious!! I could see it over and over again and still laugh my ass off. Definitely for a MATURE audience though.
| 9/10 | taypg_25@ - first review 8.4.2011 |
I was totally disgusted. I have heard alot of bad language but this was bad. It totally bashes Christians and their beliefs, it was so bad I left 1/4 through the movie. Not recommended for any one with intelligence. I will do research from now on before going to a movie.
| 1/10 | tvdale@ - first review 7.4.2011 - age: 50+ |
The movie looks like it was made for teenagers and childish adults. The plot is really ridiculously unoriginal and plain. The funny parts is basically the same Seth Rogen jokes routine and it's just mildly funny and nothing more. The pot scenes is getting overused in movies and it's tiresome unfunny to watch. Preferably better to watch it for free.
| 5/10 | silverpepsiguy@ - 88 reviews 7.4.2011 - age: 26-35 |
It was ok; funny and kind of predictable. Lots of swearing, I don't recommend it for little kids. We have seen similar movies, not much new!
| 6/10 | greco64@ - 400 reviews 6.4.2011 - age: 36-49 |
If you're a nerd like me and love sci-fi and u like comedy this film is a great fit for you. Even people who just like comedy will like it. I loved the plot and cast. Great movie. Lots of fun.
| 8/10 | bpassing@ - 11 reviews 6.4.2011 - age: 18-25 |
It is a great movie but I wouldn't let little children watch it, but besides that it is a must see movie.

Lots of fun, lots of swearing too - but in a good way. It was just a perfect movie to see with my teen aged son.
| 9/10 | sunrise.contracting@ - first review 5.4.2011 - age: 36-49 |
Didn't hate it, but certainly didn't love it. Certainly didn't match Shaun of the Dead in terms of quality or quantity of laughs and story wise was silly but little more.
| 6/10 | robert-kralj@ - 186 reviews 3.4.2011 - age: 36-49 |
The movie is hilarious! Seth was and excellent choice for the voice of Paul. I laughed so hard when Paul was questioning their sexual orientation in the theater. Laughing so bad, my wife was jabbing me with her elbow and telling me to stop. Still laughing when I was walking out the door. The movie is excellent for a light, clean comedy. Nice for a change!
| 9/10 | gmccallum54@ - first review 3.4.2011 - age: 50+ |
Do not take children to this movie!! The f-word comes up 53 times!! The rating for this movie is flawed to the point of incompetence.
| 3/10 | jaytee@ - 17 reviews 3.4.2011 - age: 36-49 |
Very Funny! Thought it might be a bit funnier but that's okay.
| 8/10 | fuzzycat901@ - 55 reviews 3.4.2011 - age: 13-17 |
A sweet funny movie. It pokes fun at sci-fi and even religion. It left me smiling at the end despite the foul language, which it poked fun at too. Life's short and we should enjoy it. Don't take yourself too seriously, that's it's message, I think?
| 7/10 | peiffergreen@ - 77 reviews 3.4.2011 - age: 50+ |
Was a really good plug for Comic-Con and how global the comic book genre really is. I found it to be draggy in spots, could not believe they dragged it out to an hour and fortyseven minutes. It was a way to pass a couple of hours on a Saturday afternoon. My 16yr old loved it, maybe it is geared to a late teen, early 20's audience? I guess the fact that there were only 6 other people in the theatre besides us, could of been and indicator? Been there, saw that, would not see it again in any format.
