As far as a MI movie this was a bit of a disappointment, especially compared to the first. The plot was sensationalist and over the top. This was more about focused on Cruise becoming an action star. As simply an action movie it was decent and entertaining.
Actually it was pretty good. Somehow I prefer the other guy being the boss then Tom as he just is not "The GUY" for it. If you know what I mean.

A little bit better than the first one, it has some good action scenes, but it was just missing something.

I don't like this film anywhere as much as I liked the first one but having said that this film was still very entertaining I like Tom Cruise in this show and also they other characters like Ving Rhames awesome show still though the plot is a little strange in my mind so they create an incurable virus ya that's not quite what I had in mind when I went to see this although like I said before still pretty good.

The best action movie ever made with National Treasure. Tom Cruise is a great actor and a master of suspense and adventure. A must-see for every action fan.

Horrible sequel. The main character seemed to not have any tie to the guy in the first movie. The story was horrible. The plot predictable and the action unbelievable.

An awesome movie with awesome fighting! The only thing better then Tom Cruise in this movie was Metallica : p.

This is a great movie. Action packed and thrilling parts. This moive is not at all boring, it kept me up and watching this movie. 10 out of 10. Great job.

Another fun getaway with lots of excitement. Not as good as the first.

Great sequel with lots of action. John Woo did a fantastic job with the special effects and the slow motion fighting scenes. Great twist at the end and great looking actors. This is one movie I will watch over and over again!!

I actually should have given this movie a 10 rating for the utter crap that it was - a perfect 10 out of 10 for the most hyped about movie of 2000, yet how absolutely ridiculous it was. I can't believe how "cool" they attempted to make Tom Cruise look in this movie! They made a mockery of the original show, even the first movie that was done a few years ago was a million times better than this, at least there was some intrigue and believable characters. I know we've all said it before, "was this movie called Mission Impossible or Mission Possible? " Cruise could do no wrong, he was super human. I would absolutely love to see your average Joe roaring down a country road, at speeds over 100 mph, shooting at the enemy with perfect accuracy, and becasue he's going so fast he doesn't want to wipe the bike out, he looks through the rear view mirror to shoot at the enemy with perfect accuracy none the less! WHAT CRAP! I was actually laughing out loud in the theatre during that scene, I'm sure I ticked off the adolescent crowd who were feeling so cool watching this "awesome" flick! Like I said, if you want a great laugh, go see it. You can't even see this movie with an open mind, because there's nothing to be open about. I'm truly mad at myself for wasting my money on this piece of junk movie!

What a great movie. Tom Cruise is an excellent actor. I expected a little more action but having Cruise doings some of his own stunts was enough. The disguises in the movie were amazing and individual (unique). Good job!

Wow! What a load of crap! How dumb they think we are? Yeah, lets have Tom Cruise looking like he is totally obsessed with himself and let him go around kicking the crap out of bad guys and bringing along his pet birds! This movie had nothing to do with MISSION IMPOSSIBLE! The first part was so much better and the James Bond series will always be on top. The thing that really disappointed me was that Tom didn't battle his enemy with Pokémon, since this movie is so unbelievable anyways.

This movie kicks ass! I've seen it twice in theatres (very rare for me), and I really think I did not waste my money. The actions sequences are AMAZING, especially in the end when Tom Cruise is on the motorcycle, the actors are all very convincing (the Irish guy Cruise works with is excellent, very funny... ), and... Thandy Newton... well as Ethan Hunt says: "Damn she's beautiful! (I think somebody got a crush here... I wonder what Nicole Kidman thinks of that... )

This is a very fast paced action movie that wasen't overly phoney like some movies are EX: James Bond flicks. Truly enjoyable! A must see on the big screen.

Both Daniel and I loved this film!! The best of Mission Impossible films!! Daniel said he loved the car scenes and I love the cliff scene - for the first time ever I found Tom Cruise very handsome... Very good movie would recommend to all. Even more so if you like spy movies like James Bond!! Enjoy.

WOW!!! This is really a VERY good movie, I felt it is DEFINITELY worth the money... I'm a big action movie fan and I found this Mission Impossible much better than the first. I would put this film in the same category as True Lies. Anyone who though this movie sucked was over-analyzing it. Movie's like this aren't made to reveal some great truth about life, they are made to entertain, and boy does it ever entertain. The action NEVER stops!

OK for a movie that was done 10 years ago. But in today's world, miserable. I found nothing novel in this movie. Action scenes were recycled -- the only really good one was the rock-climbing scene, which was already shown in the previews. Story was garbage (recycled from Face-off, FX). It was a horrible James Bond flick -- nothing at all like the first one.

Only go to see if you take it as a comedy! Spectacular effects and shooting are killed by "I can't help laughing" feeling, caused by leading actor who highly overestimates himself forgetting he is still a human being. It's a one-man show and should have called "Tom, The Superman".

This movie sucks. Truely. It's sexist, mysogynist, and dated. Why Tom Cruise did and took part in such, is completely beyond me... Love for motorcycles or no. A few interesting 'wham-bam' flashy scenes, but nothing really intelligent or novel. Thandie, I think is one of the most amazing actresses around today, and truly talented. (Besieged) She plays the boy-toy in this... And doesn't get to use much other than her looks. As for this movie? It's all type and 'piggy-backs' off the success of a proven marvel.

The first one was great, but the second just didn't have the magic touch. You expect a movie where the action which is happening on the screen is to be neer impossible to survive, and in this film, it just wasn't there. It made me think of a regular good guy / bad guy movie which is the common stuff in that type of movie. I was expecting MUCH more.
