It was pretty good - a little too violent for me at times but good nonetheless and worth seeing on the big screen.

Loved the show, great green screen work, great actor, go spartans, the true heroes of back in the day.

Loved it. Was better than I expected. Didn't mind the gory scenes like I thought I would. I'd definitely see it again.

It had everything. Love, comedy, action. It is my fave movie right now.

I went into this movie expecting to be underwealmed given the trailers. You could miss it and not lose sleep, but I thought the filming and artistry to be excellent. A little annoying on the heroics, but again, not as much as I expected. So," 7 - Good movie, worth seeing". I would not bother seeing it on DVD - see it in the theatre.

Gladiator meets Sin City... All good!

Great action, plot could have been a little more. Must see on the big screen, you will miss too much on a tv.

Everybody should see it even if age is under 18, that movie was excellent.

Like the fight scences from gladiator but for 2 solid hours.

This movie is in between a 7 and 9! 7 on the content of the movie and 9 on the graphics and computer animation of the film. If you don't have a good home entertainment system I recommend watching it at the theatre otherwise wait until it comes out on video!

I thought it sucked! What was with the voice of Xerxes? How dumb was that?! I wouldn't waste my money on it. I couldn't wait until it was over.

An excellent show for anyone interested in fantasy / gladiator type movies.

One of the worst movies I ever saw. If you can stand stupid American-style flag-waving speeches about freedom and democracy given by a people whose society in real life (Spartans) was based on slavery, then you might like this movie. There was a lot action and plenty of "ketchup" to suit the most gory tastes, but I don't understand why directors have to try to make the dialogue and story surrounding it so lame!

Marvelous stuff. The usage of a blue screen for the background of this movie really gave it a sombre yet ancient look. Acting was fantastic and the movie contains probably the best battle scenes ever. I can't pick anything bad about this movie and it will be added to my collection when it gets released on DVD. I'm glad Snyder is over his embarrassment which was Dawn of the Dead!

Yes it might be real violent, but it's a violence that is so over the top and filmed so different that it is beautiful to watch. There is nothing else like it.

Two hours of hack-n-slash action scenes that are beautifully directed and choreographed. Great effects as well.

Great film, great action, great soundtrack. Love the format of the film and the color palettes used for it. More a guy film but worth taking your girlfriend out to a chick flick if she comes with you for this. Looking forward to the Unrated DVD release.

The only reason I didn't give 1 is that it has good quality of picture, and Everything Else I couldn't see with my eyes open. The main actor's acting was so horrible, and fake. Do not watch it. There is NO point in the story.

300 was amazing. The best movie of the year in my opinion. A collaboration of artistic film making and action packed fight scenes make it a number one in my book.

Being dragged out to see a movie I wasn't interested in normally would have been a drag. This movie however was non stop action, elaborate fighting scenes, passion for a women, and passion for the freedom of the Spartan kingdom. Of course the plot is thicker then just love and war, but betrayal for money that obviously in any century, motive enough for destruction of countries, peoples and lives. Very dramatic, excellent movie for the big screen!

Great special effects. Lots of blood. Lots! Minimal character development. Freedom and democracy stuff was a little much.

If you are like me then you like a war movie that focuses on action without an involved love story. This one delivers with respect to that aspect. The main character does have a son and wife who have a minor part of the movie but really only a small one. There is a lot of carving and hacking and I enjoyed it. I also liked saving private Ryan but thought pearl harbour stunk. Finally I was disappointed with the ending as it left you wanting to see the final battle and also leaves you without knowing what really happened in the end. However since they still talk greek in greece I guess I can figure out the outcome myself.

Extremely disappointing. Terribly written and brutally acted. Gratuitous use of CGI, and to limited effect. And the number of times I heard a Spartan mention that they were "defending freedom" against the tyranny of Persia made me think I was watching a casus belli against Iran. Do not waste your time with this film.

GO SEE IT NOW! Best war movie i've watched in a while. I thought it would be a movie where the trailer was awesome but the film was bad quality, but it was completely fantastic the whole way through! The fight scenes were amazing and excitng and the filming was deffinately appropriate. Thumbs up!

Action! Action! Action! Bloody Battles. First war based movie i've seen in yrs with so much battle gore in it. Recommend it only if your a war enthusiast... Has some mytholygy involved even though it has history to it... Enjoy.

One of the best shows of the year! Constant action that keeps your heart racing although quite gory for those with a weak stomach. It's a brilliant story that fills one with admiration for the Spartans... And the cinematography is fantastic... Keeps the audience in a trance. Amazing show... I highly recommend it!

This is a awesome movie id see it again in a heart beat vary well filmed didnt care much for the sex scene with the deformed gods.

You people are weird... This movie is based on a true event happening way back when... Haha man so how could the story be diffrent if its based on a true event damn it... Haha anyways I really enjoyed this movie but the animals and stuff and that fat thing isn't what I would of have expected... But other then that it was awesome... Should go see it

Excellent movie. Gory and quite a few decapitaitons. Not for the faint of heart or those offended by blood and gore. However the story line is amazing and the character development is excellent.

If you're Greek, you'll love it. If you're not, you'll wish you were!

It was a bit gory, but overall it was an excellent movie!!! I recommend to anyone.

Must be a guy thing. The hard bodies and washboard abs were pleasing to the eye but wore off quickly, and while I did not find the fight scenes overly graphic, I found it rather plodding. The Cinematography was lovely, full of imagination and color, which is what saves this film.

This is the best movie ever iv seen it 3 times already with all my friends and still would go back to see it a fourth time!!!

It was one of the best movies I have ever seen. Besides Lord Of The Rings. I went To See The Movie 2 Times within the first week And Would Love To See It Again. Who Ever Doesn't Like this Movie is just a Person that can't take gory movies and should go watch Note Book lol!

Look like they spend all the attention in special effects and pretty much forget about all the rest. I left the theatre 1 hour after started.

This is a excellent movie I would go see it again and again if I had the money but I definitely recommend this movie to anyone
