This rating is being very generous. It gets a 20% boost just because it's TRON, which was my favourite movie as a kid. I think people who have never seen the original might enjoy Legacy much more than anyone who knows and enjoys the original. What is with all the dramatic scenes?! There is not enough action scenes by a mile and when there is action, it often consists of acrobatic flips and jumps. It's like Cirque de Soleil interprets Tron. The movie loses me really early on when a 7$ per hour security guard is walking on a rail on the roof of a skyscraper chasing down an intruder who he already knows. What?! Also I think the decision to animate the young Jeff Bridges was a mistake. The only way this movie could be worse is if Shia LeBoeuf was cast as Flynn's son. At least Shia would have perhaps brought some humour to this one. The original had plenty of humour throughout and Legacy has none. It is missed. If you insist on seeing this, please do on IMAX since that would at least have made the visuals add all the more flair. Oh, and the 3D is once again GARBAGE. It couldn't be more obvious that it was added afterwards (like Harry Potter) since most of the movie has no 3D whatsoever. Not recommended at all.
