Offering up more of the familiar sadism and gore, Hostel :Part II will surely thrill horror fans. Take away that blood and gore, however, and there's nothing left. My biggest problem with this one is that the movie is almost completely void of suspense, which wasn't the case with the first Hostel, a pretty darn scary and very creepy movie. I saw this one twice and I was sad that the most graphic stomach-turning shot was removed from the final theatrical version. It was the most graphic castration shot I've ever seen and it made me squirm something fierce. But it isn't in the final version :( The 'vampire' literal blood bath scene is worth the price of admission on its own.
