Definitely one of the smartest and funniest comedies of the year with some outstanding performances by every single male lead and almost all the female cast (I hate that Jennifer Garner like poison) My single favourite thing about this movie (okay, apart from every single scene with Michael Cera in it) was that this movie actually works as a drama and not just a comedy. I was expecting just to be seeing another Ghost World (a great movie in its own right) but instead got a much richer lead character and very profound dramatic undertones to just about everything in this movie. Unbelievable. Definitely one of the top ten of 2007. I think Halifax-born Ellen Page's character should be named Woman of the Year. She may take a few scenes to grow on you but she quickly becomes the most endearing heroine on the big screen so far this year. Very original script as well that delivers line after line of pure wit. The last half of the movie is just so amazing, I can't even put it into words on just how believable every moment is. Most definitely recommended.
