The art of a film-maker is to generate strong emotions, in this case fear, without special effects and big shows. Many critisize this film, because it does not have a typical american happy end, so they feel they did not get something for their money. Beyond that the film creates such an angst and radiates desperation of two human beings left alone, by accident, that very few other film-makers manage today. If you want something to help your digestion after a nice meal at the restaurant, don't go see it. It is a horror film without much horror, spilling blood or rolling heads. Just a masterpiece.
