Secretariat is one of the best movies out there! It's one of my favourite Disney movies! I always love to see movies based on actual events and this one movie you should definitely see!

Disappointed in this film. I have been a Secretariat and horse racing fan for a long time. This film did not do justice to the greatness of this horse. Instead of profiling an incredible horse's triumph, Disney made a cheesy, non-realistic family film about Penny Tweedy. Secretariat is a sideline. The many factual errors/omissions didn't serve to heighten the drama but just irritated me (most obviously, Meadow Stables had won the Kentucky Derby the previous year with Riva Ridge) The racing shots, which should have been exciting, were very lack lustre. Although Seabiscuit was also similarly cheesy, at least the racing scenes were well done in comparison to this film (swooping, over the track crane shots used to excellent effect) Secretariat won the Belmont by 31 lengths, averaging 60kmh over the entire race!! The other horses were just coming around the turn when he crossed the finish line. Unbelievable. And what happens during this stupendous moment during the film? Gospel music and panning back to the fans. Ridiculous! Why?! If you actually want to see Secretariat, watch the footage of the original races. They are more exciting to see than this film. If you want a good horse racing film, check out the Australian Phar Lap.

Secretariat is sort of like thriller meets drama, in the way it was nerve wracking at sometimes! Good family movie, worth paying $10 per person. Sad at times, so I would reccomend it for ages 8 and up, even then they might not understand some parts!

I cried... more than once... and I don't usually cry at all. An award winning performance and obviously a very emotional movie.

This was one of the best movies of the year. It was a great family show that we all appreciated. It has you cheering for a horse that made you fall in love with him. If you missed this at the show and want to rent a great movie for the family this will not disappoint. In fact I will rent it when it comes out and watch again, it was that good.

Captures the suspense and drama of horse racing along with the story behind the greatest race horse of the 2oth century. Be sure to see it on the big screen. Take the kids and enjoy!

Secretariat. Great grand father of my horse "Miracle Baby" or "Milagro" He had a great heart. He died last year, this movie would remember me and my family of our horse.

Even though we all know the outcome of the movie (if you're over 40 years of age) it was still an excellent movie! Was pleasantly surprised.

A nice "family" feel good movie with good life lessons and the bonus is that it is based on a true story. I highly recommend this one. Secretariat can be enjoyed by all ages.

I went to see this movie the last week with my parents and I have a many things to say about this fabulous story. Secretariat was a good movie for every family members (PG general) I would give him a score of 9/10 because everything was well. I liked this movie because the effects were very successfuls and because it was a beautiful true story that they had put in value. This was the story of a woman who has just inherited of the horses breeding of her parents. Shortly afterward, a new horse was born, his name is Secretariat. This horse was very good for the horse racing and it won a many things. The characters and the horses were very endearings and well acted. I just love it!

This movie was average. Seabuscuit was a better movie with much more emotion and better acting. This movie needs a remake far from Disneys hands.

Outstanding movie. There are so many (bad) fantasy movies these days, this true story is a breath of fresh air.

Amazing story and talent all around. Flick is well cast and the cinematography incredible. I've seen it three times in the city and can't wait to bring all my friends to Barrhead to see it. Hope it gets there!!

An outstanding horse/business movie. It beat out Seabiscuit by a narrow margin of victory, as my all-time favorite horse movie. You don't even have to be a horse racing enthusiast to appreciate this wonderful story. I was lucky enough to see Secretariat win the final race of his career at Woodbine Race Track in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and he won by 15 lenghts and paid only $2.10 to win. Trained and ridden by two Canadians, Secretatiat was one of the All Time Great Race Horses in modern history!

Well done. Was a movie about a true story that stayed remarkably close to the truth.

Great movie. The sensation this gave to everyone that attended the Premier in Ron Turcotte's home town was incredible. Ron's role was probably underrated in the success of Secretariat in the Triple Crown. Gusty moves combined with a great horse equals success in the Preakness and the Belmont. New Brunswick should be proud of our local hero. 37 years after and we still remember. Disney's introduction of Ron was exact, Great Jockey Hall of Famer.

The story was beautiful but the script was horrible. The actors could only do so much with what they were given, so the acting is forced at times. However the plot is heartwarming.

I thought this movie was horrible, juste horrible. Diane Lane's acting, which I like usually, was so annoying in this movie. I don't understand why is has a score of 8.8/10.

Most enjoyable movie I've seen in a long time. A true story, fantastic acting. Wonderful not having to deal with murders, foul language, terrorists, crime, sex, drugs and rock 'n roll.

A beautiful story. You feel as though you are actually at the race cheering for Secretariat! I was on the edge of my seat. I recommend this movie to anyone, especially those horse-lovers out there. Well written, well directed. Diane Lane deserves an Oscar for her performance.

Diane Lane was outstanding, oscar preformance beyond question. Impressed with John Malkovich playing a good guy for a change, could get to like him. My wife has horses one she has spent a lot of cash on, so I got a big kick out of my part played by Penny Chenerys husband. We both really related to this great show and its supurb cast.

Best movie that I've seen this year. This movie is not just about the horse. The drama surrounding Secretariat's ownership and training just about equals the excitement of Secretariat winning the triple crown. Should be some Academy Awards won for this movie. John Malkovich and Diane Lane are superb.

The movie was excellent in all aspects; from the very start, it held my attention. I can actually remember this horse, the day he ran and won the Triple Crown. The actors and actress were excellent and made it the movie of the year for me.
