Very good film about a child protection unit (CPU) in France. At times it seemed like a docu-drama. There's a large cast of characters--all interesting and effective. I liked that the police officers were portrayed as 3-dimensional people, flaws and all, and shown at home as well as at work. Some of the scenes seemed a bit implausible though, or overly emotional, with the officers acting like one big family constantly hanging out together. Their chief really seemed to care about them and act like a father--a bit unrealistic maybe. It's a heavy subject, but the story is told with empathy and a measure of humour.

Amazing movie; very hard to watch, made me cry. It's about bunch of amazing police that catch pedophiles. I loved the complex characters, about how they deal with work, they get very emotional sometimes, the relationship between the police staff... I would recommend it, but not for kids!

I won't add superlatives, or you might be turned off. The personalities make the film. If you can handle the subject matter, go see it.

Went to see it last night. I had no expectations but I was floored by how intense the movie was from beginning to end; a Hollywood fairytale this is most certainly not. The screenplay veers from extremely serious to utterly humourous. Nothing in this movie felt fake, not even the various intimate relationships between characters. In addition, the acting was fantastic. Not only was each character played in a genuine manner, I oftentimes found myself forgetting that I was watching a movie and not a documentary.

This movie was very hard. Not sure why it got a G rating... It's not everyone's cup of tea that's for sure... but if you enjoy having your emotional buttons pushed (in a good way) then definitely see this. Excellent portrayal of normal people with normal problems who are doing one of the most difficult police jobs there is. The emotional ups and downs feel very real and the tension is always in the red. I suggest it to you, but don't expect a light hearted movie. As a sidenote, I was very impressed to see how good Joey Starr played his role.
