I thought the story was ok, too many biking scenes, hated it when they stopped it and drew lines. Thumbs down.

This is a pretty boring idea of a young adult delivery boy riding a bike and being chased by people. Not as suspenseful as the trailer brought it out to be. The ending didn't have a strong punch to it either.

This was way better than I thought it was. It's kind of like that Jason Statham movie Safe, but it's way better with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Never thought I'd like this movie, waited until it showed up on youtube and wasn't disappointed. Not worth it watching on big screen, but def worth watching. Joseph looked short to me in the movie but he is not he's like 178cm.

Enjoyed this movie and got me wanting to go on my bike again. A fun and exciting movie def worth seeing and the best part of the movie - There were no nonsense scenes. Straight to the point with quick pecks here and there... just perfect!!

Premium Rush really gave me a rush. I am not one for car chases, however this bike chase movie is full of adrenalin pumping scenes that are superbly filmed. At times the frenzied action is quite dizzying but this is a well filmed and well edited slick incredibly fast paced movie that gives you an entirely different view of New York City. The story line is quite poor and predictable but if you want to escape for awhile into a crazy spinning on the edge cyle chase in the Big Apple, I do recommend Premium Rush.

Loved the plot, very original! It was full of action and it was entertaining. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is an amazing actor.

Nice movie, good shots, a lot of rapid scenes but will be easy understood what's going on. Movie for young people...
| 6/10 | superiormaxcanada@ - 8 reviews 14.10.2012 - age: 26-35 |
A movie about making deliveries on a bike but there was more to it than that. A simple delivery lead to a cat and mouse to, on a mission and making a difference. Great bike moves in heavy traffic.

Just like the title says, this is adrenaline pumping rush rush movie. Watching this, I felt like getting my bike and ride with them. At first, you might get annoyed of the way director cuts the time and goes back to tell you what happened, however near the end, you'd see that it was nicely presented this way as whenever you wonder about something, that's when it goes back in the past to explain why that consequence happened in the future. After the movie, let's all go ride a bike.

This movie had a lot of good going for it visually; the "expectation" montages every time Wilee was placed in dangerous street situation were a nice touch, the unhinged camera following the bikers to their destinations was quite impressive. On the other hand, the story, was quite bland. I didn't feel very taken by it and wasn't really rooting for the characters (why didn't the asian lady tell Wilee what the package was for?!) Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Michael Shannon give worthwile performances, but this movie I found was more of a visual journey. If you take it at that then you'll be satisfied. If you want a complex, intriguing story, look elsewhere.

Premium Rush is overall a good movie. There is action, and the filming of the bike scenes are very impressive. The plot is not really deep and that well developed, but it is an entertaining movie.
| 7/10 | audreyfallu@ - 7 reviews 5.10.2012 - age: 18-25 |
This movie really tries to make bike riding look hardcore, but it ends up looking extremely lame and stupid. Do yourself a favor and never see this movie.

The high octane world of bike couriers is finally brought to light in this non-stop action adventure. The format of the movie alternates between flashbacks/various character perspective of the same situation and straight forward cat and mouse. One of the interesting plot devices used is the choose your own adventure diagram employed throughout which makes the film relateable to the gamers. Check this movie out for great bike stunts but do not expect tons of violence and it has an interesting side story as well.

Although this movie has some excellent stunt biking scenes, it lacked polish.

Yes, good movie I could watch it again because of the action and the thrill.
| 7/10 | travis56@ - first review 26.9.2012 - age: 13-17 |
I really liked it. Had some new moves, being full of 'bike' chases, instead of car chases. Not too corny, and full of characters that were fun to watch. You just had to cheer when the bad guy gets it in the end!!!

I went into this movie with low expectations considering it's a movie about bike messengers. But holy cow was I surprised! The movie was filmed in a really neat way, using some gimmicks of alternating between POV's and timelines throughout the day that I haven't seen in a while. The characters, even supporting ones, are all very well fleshed out and unique. Each actor brings a really good performance to their role. I thought it was at times both silly, startling, funny, and heartwarming. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good story, good action without over the top explosions, and nice twists in the story!

This is a good movie if you want to escape for a bit and just enjoy an action film. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is excellent as the main character and Michael Shannon is very good as the bad guy. The only problem for me were the holes in the film. The corrupt cop would not be able to keep doing what he is doing for as long as it was going on. The stunts are great, and I know it's not real, but some parts were a bit far fetched! However, I simply adore Joseph Gordon-Levitt and I love Michael Shannon. It was a treat to see them both.

Great movie, really appreciate how there is an authentic story line to it, not just all bikes and messages. Love Joseph... he never disappoints.

This was so much better than I expected, as it was kind of a "well, nothing else looks good this weekend" sort of choice, but I really enjoyed it. Not oscar-worthy, but more story and more interesting than I expected, with great visuals and action. I felt I got my ticket price in value. A little weak on character development and back-story, but a lot of fun.

Great movie! Joseph Gordon Levitt keeps getting better and it shows in this movie. This movie has plenty of action and some comedic moments in between. Very enjoyable!

An action flick with a sense of humour. The trailer is very misleading. Yes, the plot is simple, but it works. Lots of fun!

Was a little worried that this might stink but it was cheap night so what the heck. I loved it, it had more of a story than I expected and a lot of interesting little parts to it. I was very entertained all the way through.

Great movie. Well made, great sense of humour, and kind of slightly different from all the happy-ending-american-movies type. Go see it, you won't regret!

I really liked this movie, it's a great flick and should not be missed. It's not perfect or anything but I was thoroughly entertained start to finish. This is surprising considering what an awful preview it was (I did not really want to see it) But it's a fun ride. An entertaining villain (played by Michael Shannon) goes a long way it seems. He kept the movie alive for me in several instances.

Being an avid bike rider myself and having watched the trailers, I expected this movie to be rife with cycling inaccuracies (such as changing bike between stunts in the same chase etc) and have at best a weak plot. However upon viewing I found it very enjoyable; none of the stunts or scene transitions were unrealistic, and the plot was actually pretty good (albeit fairly predictable) Also, a few good laughs to be had and the ending wrapped things up nicely unlike some other recent films which are far too open ended for my liking. Definitely worth watching :)

I enjoyed this movie, I really liked the actors. Plot was unsurprising, film pacing was a little confusing with flashbacks. All in all, a good 1.5 hours of escapism.

This is an high octave, non-stop epic chase movie. Initially you wonder how could a movie that takes place almost entirely on a bike keep the viewer engrossed in the film. The answer is simple: bring in a heartthrob leading man who is also extremely witty and engaging at the same time. Bring in a supporting cast of characters who balance out the much needed character stereotypes and a Sadistic but pathetic villain. Then there is the choose your own adventure element of the film which is original and not over used. It also provides a potential concept for a video game so developers take note. Overall a very exciting film that does not lose the audiences attention.

Not bad but I expected way more bike stunts. We are offered about a 5 minute stunt bike scene. The rest is fancy road bike editing complete with CGI inserts. Nonetheless an entertaining feel good movie.

I really enjoyed this movie. Overall I thought it was pretty original. Michael Shannon was excellent, as usual. Some weak acting in places, but overall, well-done. Funny recurring bike-cop gives some comedic relief. One I'll watch a few times.

This is an action movie for kids. Not even for teenagers. So there are bike chases in Manhattan; the problem is, after the first one, they are all the same. And the story, well, like I said: for kids. So if you have kids, they will like it. But do you want them to see this? Will they try to do the same with their bikes? So it is a 5 for all ages.

Fast paced and adrenaline rush throughout the movie. The storyline was good but it was the edge of your seat stunts that were amazing and crazy spectacular that kept me most interested. Really good action movie.
| 8/10 | rosannaiacino@ - 3 reviews 4.9.2012 - age: 36-49 |
Good pacing and cool direction style of jumping to various points in time and telling the story from different perspectives. I'm amazed that they were able to film in busy New York traffic filled streets. Worth seeing.

Nothing impressed me... not so much of special effects, pretty silly script... and not many jokes.
| 5/10 | d.spitfire@ - 6 reviews 3.9.2012 - age: 18-25 |
The relatively thin plot is elevated through the action sequences, the effects and the structure. Good popcorn movie.

This entire movie is a car chase... well, you know what I mean. Get the package from A to B. That's what happens for 90 minutes. Main character holds strong, but not strong enough to hold up all the other lemons.

Very surprised at the old-timers rating this movie so highly. I didn't mind it, but right off the hop it had a bike couriers are too cool for school feel that I never was really able to shake throughout the whole movie. The story was fine, and action OK, but overall I just didn't find it all that great. Aside from a cool graphic device, showing us the 'options' that run through the main character's head as he decides which way to go through traffic to avoid crashing, there really wasn't that much special about it. Aside from that, the couriers behave like serious hazards on the street and are portrayed as being all the cooler for it. Spoiler alert... A courier smashing someone's car mirror because they aren't using it is criminal behavior and yet is portrayed as cool. I just didn't find it as cool as I imagine the writers seemed to want. For the most part, a chase flick, and that's it.
