This is perhaps the ultimate date movie. This has all the action any guy could wish for at the same times as being a romance more sweeping than any Harlequin. There are magnificent scenes in this movie, the visuals are sometimes stupendous. But is goes much further, the pacing, the dialogue, the music, and more is all top notch. If you are a couple looking for a good movie to watch together, this one has it all. One could quibble about accents and historical accuracy, but that would be missing the magic.
